Hope Beyond Dysfunction: God’s Sovereign Plan in Imperfect Families - A Nighttime Prayer

And the Lord told her, "The sons in your womb will become two nations. From the very beginning, the two nations will be rivals. One nation will be stronger than the other; and your older son will serve your younger son." -- Genesis 25:23

    Please Pray:

Father, thank you for being my "Abba, Father," the one I can run to no matter what is happening in my world. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your eternal family through Jesus' sacrifice, and I can never be taken out of this family. Thank you, Lord, for the family in my life who are a picture of Jesus’ love. Help me to create a home and family life that is loving and kind and reflects the heart of Jesus Christ to all who live and enter there. I know I will not do it perfectly, but help me acknowledge your constant presence to strengthen me when I struggle to be a light to my family. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.

We all have a story to share. Mine happens to be a story of the grace and kindness of Jesus. I am a wife to a first responder, a mama to three incredible young men, a lover of words and their meanings, a storyteller, a truth-seeker, and a recovering worrier, to name a few things.
