The word of God is for our correction. Only the word of God can save us from hell. When we go astray, we get corrected along the way. How we respond to correction decides our future.
“Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: And he that hateth reproof shall die.”
As believers, we know there is only one way to live this life. The word of God guides us to walk in the path of life and not death. Those who do not walk in correction, die spiritually.
We were in darkness. Lived in sin. We had it all wrong. Not anymore, Jesus is with us. We are in the light. Overcoming sin daily by the power of resurrection.
Receive Correction by walking with Jesus
When we walk in the word, we are able to discern what the world is trying to feed us. When we grow in the word, the Spirit of God keeps us guarded. We are in a constant war spiritually, as we navigate the Internet and social media everyday.
All scripture is for correction (2 Timothy 3:16). The world came into existence through the power of God’s word (Genesis 1). Nothing came into existence without God’s word (John 1:3).
The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword. It pierces, even to dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow. It is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)
When we humble ourselves to the word of God. When we come under its majesty, we receive correction that transforms our lives.
Equip yourself with God’s word. Put on the armour, the sword of the Spirit. Watch and pray as God battles for us daily. Jesus is coming soon. Praise God and Amen!
