Hustle Much? — GRITANDFAVOR.COM

    Everyone told her she could… so she thought she had to. Only to realize it wasn’t her job, to begin with, and now she is exhausted and burnt out.

    +++

    It was never God’s design for you to carry the weight of the world. I see a generation of women who are influenced by a whole lot of ‘hustle’ and not nearly enough ‘be still’. While I love the societal shift toward being wildly encouraging, we have to stop believing we must be all things to all people and look good while doing it.

    +++

    Acknowledging our limitations is a good thing. They set boundaries that keep us healthy and attentive but mostly, they leave room for our limitless God to work in us.

    +++

    Just because the Bible says we CAN do all things, it doesn’t say we SHOULD do all things. It stands as a reminder that there are a certain number of things that we are actually incapable of handling on our own. And apart from Christ, we can accomplish VERY LITTLE. This is good because we learn that any good work we accomplish is purely a gift from the Lord.

    +++

    What if we apply the idea that we can do anything to our CAPABILITY and not our CAPACITY? And understand, as women we are wildly capable of completing one million tasks in a day. But as Christ-followers, we know that every “yes” is a “no” to something else. Make your “yes” count.

    +++

    During this season when the options of activities are piling up, focus on what is most important. Stop watering your neighbor's lawn & bloom where God has planted you. When we show up where he is asking, even if it means sacrificing another space, He will show out in ways we never imagined.

    +++

    Everyone told her she could… but she chose to do only what God asked of her instead.

Over centuries, God’s Word has taken many different forms—from ancient scrolls to bound pages to an app on a screen. This milestone is evidence that God’s Word is alive and active and it’s changing lives aro
