I Am Enough

A girl named Sophie sits at her school desk, hand still half-raised, cheeks flushed red. Her eyes are down, hair falling over her face. A few classmates exchange glances nearby.

Sophie lies in bed at night, staring at the ceiling in the dark. Moonlight comes through the window. Her eyes are open but distant. Words float around her: "Too much." "Not enough." "What even am I?"

Sophie stands outside in soft sunlight, looking forward. She's wearing the same clothes as before — but her posture is different. Quiet. Settled. A small, knowing smile on her face.

"I Am Enough"

Genesis 1:27

Have you ever had a moment like Sophie's?
One small failure — and suddenly the question shows up:
"Am I even enough?"

So God created mankind in his own image.
— Genesis 1:27

You know how Caesar stamped his image on every coin?
God did something like that — but in you.

He pressed something of Himself into who you are.
Like a child who carries their parent's eyes —
you were born carrying something of God.

That makes you His son. His daughter.
Always already precious. By design.

Reflect:
When do you feel "not enough"?
What would change if you actually believed you were made in God's image?
