I AM YOURS!-February Monthly SCRIPT-TIME
HELLO FEBRUARY
Welcome back LE Family, hope you have had a good start to the year and have been inviting God into your days and weeks.
This month of February, I wanted to focus on our identity in Christ, this is so important as it shapes, who we are, how we are and what we do.
Even if you have known Christ forever or for a day, we can sometimes forget who we are in Christ, this can be due to our circumstances or what people have said to us, even our own thoughts and impact how we view our identity. Which leads me on to this months Scripture and what God says about us 🙂
1 Peter 2:9
9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
What is your personal reflection of this passage? read the passage again slowly and hear what it is saying to you? Reflection: Fill this space with your thoughts…..for example:
As believers in Christ we have been given a special place in God’s plan of redemption. We have been born into the family of God, where we have become new creations 🙂 This is through our spiritual birth, by the faith that we have in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are an a royal race, that has been transferred into the kingdom of God. By God’s beloved Son Jeuse, and we have been made heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ – by our faith.
We have been chossen into a royal presithood
What are your personal actions for this new season, what has God said to you personally through this scripture?
Whatever you need to do, do it!
Fill this space with your actions…eg.
Do you need to remember that you have been chosen-that God has chosen you ?
Do you need to see yourself as Royal? How are you going to do this?
Have you allowed people to treat you less than Royal ? What steps are you going to take to put a end to mistreatment?
Do you need to change behaviour to fit your royal satus ?
Send up your own personal prayer, remember prayer is the time when you talk to God, doesn’t have to be fancy 🙂 Prayer. If you are finding it difficult to pray you can say the prayer below to help you talk to God.
Thank You Father for including me as one of Your chosen servants.
GOD I KNOW YOU LOVE ME! There is no one who LOVES me more than you! God you love me with an EVERLASTING LOVE. Your LOVE is stronger than any power in heaven or earth.
GOD you are the BEST father! I am your child, I am the apple of your eye.
God you LOVE surrounds me and will keep me FOREVER! I am the APPLE OF YOUR EYE. I AM LOVED! GOD YOU LOVE ME! and I am WHO YOU SAY I AM!
