INTERNAL vs EXTERNAL TRUTH (Part 2)

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32)

In my previous blog I wrote how the Lord wanted me to finally walk in my truth in order to be free. I knew in my heart it was time to acknowledge the truth in order to change for the better.

After the Lord told me about John 8:32, He took me to Ezekiel 36:25-27:25 “Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your uncleanness and from all your idols. 26 Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you, and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My ordinances and do them”. Amplified Bible (AMP).

Maaan to say that the above scripture did not hurt would be an understatement; In fact I have band aids covering the wounds where the truth has cut me.

You see, as a Born Again believer washed by the blood, I have begun a journey of revealing (by the grace of the Holy Spirit) my truth to God and myself in order to be cleansed from all uncleanliness.

Also receiving the truth from those close to me (despite it hurting) in order to become a better person.

Almost 20 years of salvation, those stubborn stains have been a struggle to get rid of on my own. No amount of Vanish, Ariel or bleach could remove the stains only the one true BLOOD of Jesus Christ.

I am going through my journey of ‘LIBERATION of truth’.

I will not lie it’s not easy-HECK NO! The truth really does hurt, but having said that I can confidently confess it’s liberating to finally be honest with God (who knows all things) and myself.

I feel lighter, at peace, confident, bolder, and stronger but MOST importantly freeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! The devil has been telling me for years ‘shame on you’ for too long. With Jesus Christ on my side, He has taken the ‘shame off me’…halleujahhhhhhhhh.

As I embark on this journey, I fall deeper in love with Christ who has not only forgiven me for my transgressions but also teaches and encourages me to forgive myself “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”. 1 John 1:9 ESV.

I am still a work in progress embarking on this journey called ‘truth’. As I write, I am being healed. No longer bound to the lies and pretence the enemy and myself have been feeding me for too long.

I look forward to the time when I can fully confess …”Free at last. Free at last. Thank God Almighty I’m Free at Last.”Sweet Rose
