Keeping Your Eyes on the Lord

Reflecting on Psalms 28

By Tanja

Has this morning started with thanks to God? Can you begin to write down a list of simple things that you are grateful for now? It’s November now, and maybe it’s a great month to remember all the things we are thankful for, even amid a year with a pandemic. It will help to stop and count your blessings, because even if you’ve been through a tough time- there has to be something. Thankfulness and praise to God will help you turn your eyes off the things that bother and annoy you. It might even give you hope today.

Is your heart happy and joyful? Why not try, praising and thanking the Lord and focusing on Him, even singing your heart out, as that is voicing out your praise to God. You can shift and move the atmosphere in the supernatural with your voice.

The Psalmist says;

“My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise Him.” Psalms 28:7

It also says that the Lord is the One who gives strength. The Lord is like a shield and helps us. It says that their heart will trust in God. (Psalms 28:7) Could we remember this simple thing, that our strength comes from the Lord?

God is our rock and our faithful God.

He is the One who hears our cries in the middle of the night or whenever we come to Him. He is the most excellent helper and our best protector.

“Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy.” Psalms 28:6

What are you crying out for now? Are you crying out for mercy?

God does hear you, and He knows where you are!
