Misha was the daughter of Aharon and Maya, and she was 16 years old. She was not educated formally like the men around her were, but her parents were of Jewish descent, and they taught her the Torah. She had a strong belief in Yahweh, and that the coming Messiah would save her people one day. She thought about the special day of the Messiah coming and wondered how it would change her life.

Aharon, her father, had taught her how to make jewellery since he was a jeweller by occupation. She loved seeing the pretty, shiny stones laid out precisely in the workshop. Misha loved helping to organise the stunning jewellery and would daydream of wearing the beautiful necklaces at parties and gatherings. She imagined herself parading down a stage with her dark brown hair, with ornaments, looking like a glamorous queen. Her father would use tools to make necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings from various materials, such as wood, gold, and metal. He would also make jewellery from shells and pearls. Then he would sell his creation to the jeweller or directly to customers.

Misha was the only daughter of the family, and one day her parents would arrange to give her away to be married.
