2 Timothy 1:7 ~ For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

Good day beautiful people

I hope that today’s post meets you and your family members well? Welcome back to our series on ‘How to live the best life’, I think this will be the last blog post for this series for the time being. I believe that progress starts from WITHIN. We need to have a positive mindset and believe that we can achieve in order to accomplish greatness in life. If you don’t believe you won’t act, and if you don’t act you will not accomplish anything. When you come to realise that you serve an awesome God who has the power to work mightily through you, you’ll be able to live a FULL and GREAT life.

Daniel 11:32 ~ Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.

^^^ We must be prepared to be used by God to point people to Christ, and we are to be a light in this dark world.

Knowing who you are in Christ is key. When people begin to question your worth/value you must respond by telling them who God says you are. It doesn’t matter who they THINK you are, you are who God SAYS you are, hallelujah. Don’t allow feelings of worthlessness to distort the truth about how loved you are by God. You are of value. You have a unique and specific purpose.

Know who God say’s you are

1. You are an object of God’s unconditional love

John 3:16 ~ “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”

Romans 5:8 ~ But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

1 John 4:9-10 ~ This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

2. You are eternally sealed and covered by the blood of Christ Jesus (you are saved)

Ephesians 1:13-14 ~ “And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.”

3. You are a gifted follower of God

1 Corinthians 12:11 ~ “It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have”

^^^ Every believer has been given a gift by the Holy Spirit. And God has created every human being with unique skills/abilities.

4. You are a forgiven child of God

1 John 1:9 ~ “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.”

Psalm 103:12 ~ “As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”

Ephesians 1:7 ~ “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.”

Therefore do not have a poor image of yourself.

When we forget who we are, we forget our purpose and forget the glorious destiny that God has planned for us, and we end up falling into the trap of emotional destruction.

It doesn’t matter if somebody else can do it better. If God TOLD you to do it, then do it! Focus on your own destiny instead of distracting yourself by comparing your purpose with another believers purpose.

Galatians 6:4 ~ Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else.

Remember that you are not working in your own strength but in the power of the Holy Spirit. You disobeying God when it comes to fulfilling your purpose because you feel inadequate is a bit like telling God that He made a mistake in choosing you. Yes we may be inadequate but we don’t have to rely on our own strength, we rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to help us achieve God’s purpose for our lives.

God wants the best for you. You deserve God’s best, and you can get God’s best by walking by faith and living in obedience.

The only way you can know who you are is by looking to God and reading His word. Aspire to have a more intimate relationship with Him. It’s during the quiet moments we spend with The Lord that we sincerely get to know ourselves.

I hope you enjoyed todays read, and remember God want’s the absolute best for you.

Ephesians 3:16-20~ “I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”
