Love the Sinner, the Sick, the Broken ... - A Nighttime Prayer

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” – Matthew 22:36-40

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:34-35

Please Pray:

Jesus, the sin of not loving one another is rampant online and on social media. We admit to seeing it and being a part of it by participating or reading or watching or engaging in it. We repent of this behavior and turn away from it. Forgive us and wash us clean for your service. We want to love others the way you love us. Show us how and rid the temptation of needing to play into the enemy’s schemes online. You are the example to follow. Give us the thirst for Your Word to show us how to love well. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.
