Mayflies and Manna: From Curiosity to Wisdom - A Nighttime Prayer

When the people of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, “It is the bread that the Lord has given you to eat.” – Exodus 16:15 (ESV)

    Please Pray:

    Father God,

Thank you for the gift of Your perspective and for reminding me that my own view can cause me to miss the bigger picture and Your purpose for my life. Forgive me for labeling the nuisances in my life, and for complaining, reacting and jumping to my own conclusions before seeking your wisdom.

Help me to always stop and ask, “Lord, what do You want me to see?”

I ask You to give me wisdom in every situation as I trust You and wait for You to work in ways I cannot yet see.

Teach me to look beyond disappointments and realize that You are providing for me and that You are faithful in every season.

Thank You for providing exactly what I need in every wilderness.

In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
