Nabal's Boomerang

"And it came to pass about ten days after, that the LORD smote Nabal, that he died.
And when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be the LORD, that hath pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and hath kept his servant from evil: for the LORD hath returned the wickedness of Nabal upon his own head. And David sent and communed with Abigail, to take her to him to wife." 1Samuel 25:38-39

This story shows us how sin is like a boomerang! What Nabal did to David returned to himself and hit him pretty hard.
There are other stories in the Bible which show the same lesson.Think of Haman! He made plans to kill Mordecai, but it was himself who ended up hanging on those gallows. What about the evil men in the story of 'Daniel in the Lion's Den?' They were the ones who were killed by lions. Not Daniel! What about the story of Joseph? Joseph's brothers cruelly sold him to be a slave but as it turned out they were begging Joseph for food by the end of the story!

Proverbs says  "Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him."
It's so true. Sin is expensive! It's not worth the high price.
In our life we will either reap the consequences of disobeying God or the blessings of obeying God. Whatever we sow, we will reap.
But it's not only sin that is like a boomerang! So is love! So is doing right! So is obeying God. So is giving.

   Luke 6:38

"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again(The portion you give will determine the portion you receive in return."). "

Whatever we do comes back to us one way or another.
