New Jerusalem Foreseen in Ephesians
Ephesians focuses on God’s eternal purpose and His good pleasure which is to release life in Christ into all His people to bring forth a living building in Christ culminating in New Jerusalem. A series of posts looks at spiritual truths in Ephesians which correspond with the realities we touch today and will experience in New Jerusalem.

Ephesians 1
verses 2-5, grace, holy, without blemish, sonship, the good pleasure of His will.
verses 6-17, the praise of the glory of His grace, the riches of His grace, the good pleasure of His will, an inheritance.
verses 16-19, a spirit of wisdom and revelation, know what is the hope of His calling and the surpassing greatness of His power.
verses 16-23, resurrection, ascension, reigning, Head over all things.
Ephesians 2
verses 1-7, salvation, mercy, love, life, grace, resurrection, ascension, in Christ.
verses 8-13, saved by grace, God’s masterpiece, in Christ Jesus, the blood of Christ.
verses 14-17, Christ is our peace, Christ created one new man, reconciled in one Body, He announced peace as the gospel.
verses 18-22, access in one Spirit to the Father, members of the household of God, all the building is growing into a holy temple in the Lord.
Ephesians 3
verses 2-6, grace given, God’s mystery revealed in spirit, fellow members of the Body and fellow partakers of the promise through the gospel.
verses 8-11, unsearchable riches of Christ, the economy of God’s mystery, display the multifarious wisdom of God, eternal purpose.
verses 16-19, be strengthened according to the riches of His glory, Christ may make His home in your hearts, know the knowledge-surpassing love of Christ.
verses 20-21, Him who is able to do superabundantly above all that we ask or think, the power which operates in us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus.
Chapters 4 to 6 each have exhortations to reject our fallen, natural life; chapter 6 also has spiritual warfare; since these will be ended before Revelation 21, these verses have no counterpart in New Jerusalem.
Ephesians 4
verses 3-6, the oneness of the Spirit, the Spirit, the Lord, the God an Father.
verses 7-11, grace given, Christ, ascension, He gave some gifted persons.
verses 12-16, the perfecting of the saints, the building up of the Body of Christ, grow up into Him who is the Head, the growth of the Body unto the building up of itself in love.
verses 23-24, be renewed in the spirit of your mind, the new man created according to God in righteousness and holiness of the reality.
Ephesians 5
verses 2, 8, walk in love as Christ loved us, light in the Lord, walk as children of light.
verses 18-20, filled in spirit, speaking to one another, singing with your heart to the Lord, giving thanks to our God and Father.
verses 25-27, Christ loved the church, cleansing by the washing of the water in the word.
verses 26, 32, this mystery is great…Christ and the church.
Ephesians 6
verses 17-18, receive the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God by means of all prayer and petition, praying at every time in spirit.
verses 19-24, the mystery of the gospel, peace, love, faith, grace.
