NOT EVERY BATTLE IS YOURS TO FIGHT

An overriding lesson here is that God desires for us to trust Him in fighting the unseen battles raging against us. He has given us armor to protect us, and our faith in Him is of utmost importance. He will continually test us to see how much we really trust His ability over our own. Secondly, we cannot presume that every battle we see is ours to fight. When we take the time to ask, He will indicate our level of engagement by the truths He reveals.

According to Ephesians 6:10-18, we are given four directives when facing a battle. 1) Put on His armor for protection, 2) use the sword of His Word as directed, 3) pray at all times, and 4) after everything else has been done – stand firm. Thus, our level of engagement may be to intercede for everyone else on the battlefield. And after praying, simply stand fast and hold your position. All of these are powerful tools in spiritual warfare.

The next time you are experiencing spiritual warfare, take the time to ask the Lord how He wants you to engage. Ask Him for a fresh revelation of His truth regarding the battle and consider the role you play. Are you called to be on the frontlines of that battle through your proclamations of truth, or on the perimeter interceding for others? If you have been faithful in following His directives, and have yet to see the fruit, simply stand and hold fast.

Ultimately, it is not those with the largest swords or loudest protests that will win. It is those who listen for His voice, follow His commands, and trust in HIS battle plans, that will defeat the enemy and come out as victors.

PURSUING HIS PRESENCE MORE THAN HIS PROPHETS

Why is it that prophetic ministry always comes under such scrutiny? Why do prophetic voices gain so much attention and cause such a stir? What is it about prophecy that causes such controversy on the one hand, and such hunger on the other? I believe one of the primary reasons is that true prophecy opens the door to the unseen realm. Pure prophetic operation reveals a supernatural God and realities not otherwise experienced or known to our flesh. It is a tangible demonstration that we can hear God’s voice and even know God’s heart. And though most of our understanding of prophecy comes from the New Testament, I find an interesting statement from Moses in the Old Testament that points to a core value of the prophetic.

    SACRED COWS AND STRANGE FIRE

The knife that is cutting through His house is no respecter of persons. God does not set aside our favorites. He does not overlook compromise or spiritual corruption to salvage men’s reputations. Nor will allow His anointing to be weaponized by those who only seek the glory for themselves. He is a holy God and NO ONE can touch His glory. No one is above His discipline or correction. And because of the buildup of dung in His pantry, the stench can no longer be tolerated. No prophet or apostle, teacher or pastor, or any other leader in God’s house will escape His cleansing wrath.

Knowing the doctrinal errors and spiritual deception this young woman has been operating in, I was surprised at what the Lord was revealing…

A New Wineskin for a CHARISMATIC REFORMATION

This reform is not rejection of the Charismatic emphasis on the Holy Spirit, but a refinement—where power is submitted to purity, and gifting is governed by godliness. The Church is being invited into a season of divine pruning so it may bear lasting fruit (John 15:2). The question is not just whether we want revival, but whether we are willing to become vessels that can carry it well.

Sehnsucht in the Blue Ridge Mountains — Nicole O'Meara

Sehnsucht is hard to put into words, as can be seen in my painfully limited ability to describe what I felt at a vista in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Some call it joy. Some called it wistful longing for something you can’t explain. It has been called melancholy and nostalgia. It is all of that, and mo
