Romans 10 vs 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
- We can only overcome sin by confession in the name of Jesus Christ, by believing He is a Saviour, and by calling on him to save us.
- So, what happens after that is that God will give you the grace to overcome every temptation of sin.
- This implies that by your human strength, you cannot overcome sin.
- You need the grace and spirit of God, which comes by accepting Jesus Christ to overcome sin.
- The truth is that unless you have the spirit of God, the pleasures of sin will still be attractive to you.
