Read Genesis 37

The classic story of Joseph and how he was persecuted by his blood relations is a typical example of household wickedness.

His brothers hated him because their father loved him more – Genesis 37 vs. 4
His brothers hated him because of his dreams – Genesis 37 vs.5
His brothers envied him because his dreams may turn to reality in the future – Genesis 37 vs. 11
His brothers conspired to kill him – Genesis 37 vs.18
His brothers mocked him – Genesis 37 vs. 19
His brothers stripped him naked – Genesis 37 vs. 23
His brothers cast him into a pit – Genesis 37 vs. 24
They sat down to eat bread shortly after throwing their brother into a pit. It shows their meanness and wickedness – Genesis 37 vs. 25
Joseph brothers sold him to strangers for 20 shekels – Genesis 37 vs. 28
Joseph brothers lied to their father over his sudden disappearance, insinuating he was killed by a wild animal – Genesis 37 vs. 31
