    Reduce Anxiety Seven

    reduce anxiety 2

Sometimes it seems you are the person that is always giving and people are always taking from you.

You might have the tendency to think of your own wants and desires last when it comes to family and friends. It seems you give and give and get nothing in return. I am sorry but if you don’t feel secure and fulfilled there is no way that you can fulfill anyone else.

You have to take some time for yourself on a daily basis. Like your body that has physical needs like food and water, your mind needs to be nurtured. You need some me time.

This could be as simple as getting a few minutes of quit time by yourself or a getaway trip to your favorite spot. You have to have time for yourself.

Jesus got away from the crowds and so should you ( Matthew 14:23). This has nothing to do with being selfish it has to do with a healthy balance in the give and take in your life.

So here are a few pampering suggestions. Get a new hair style or haircut. Buy some new clothes. If you can’t afford the clothes check out second hand or thrift stores. Hey I have done it, get rid of your pride and think of the clothes as vintage and recycled not thrift. Just the small change of clothes and hair can make you feel better.

In making an assessment of a client one of the things I look for is a client’s demeanor and dress. Often a person that is depressed looks depressed in the way they look both physically and the way they dress. A simple change in dress and personal hygiene can change your world.
