SAINT OR SINNER?

Memorise: “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not” (Romans 7:18)

Read: Romans 7:18-25

learning-to-lean-on-jesus-33-638“Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep” (Rom 12:15). Not everyone who appears to rejoice with you over an accomplishment or promotion is sincere. Infact, many people mean the exact opposite of their good wishes. It is only in the Kingdom of God you can have those who would genuinely rejoice with you. If you claim to belong to God’s Kingdom and still find it difficult to rejoice at the rise or elevation of others, the law of sin is still very strong in your life.

Even among relatives, you have several foes who pretend to be sheep. A brother established a big thriving business. Because he was not on ground he asked a female relative to head the place. Under her were some managers. Over a period, the managers connived with some of the workers and stole huge sums of money. One day, he brought in some men of God and recounted his ordeal.

By this time, the organization had almost grounded to a halt. While they were discussing, his sister came in. Immediately, the Lord spoke to one of the pastors that she was not clean but part of the problem. He found it difficult to convey the message to him because the brother said if not for his sister, the company would have closed down completely. So they prayed and left.

Months later, one of the pastors came again to the brother’s company. Another manager had just bolted with several millions. While there, the brother’s relative started to cry and the brother was consoling her. Once again, the Lord made the pastor to know that she was not sincere. So they began to pray.

Not long after, it was revealed that this relative was in partnership with the other staff, and was out to ruin her brother. Although she pretended to go by public transport, she like some others, had bought big cars and acquired things from her brother’s sweat. She also used charms to manipulate both her brother and his company. This Muslim relative the brother thought was a saint was the devil eating him up and he had been thanking and paying her for it.

Every devourer pretending to be a friend shall be exposed to you. Do not hire the person you cannot control. Ask God to flush out all your internal enemies. Any relative pulling you down must be shown the way out!

Thank God for adding another year to Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye. Ask God for greater grace, wisdom, patience and love so she can be a mother to millions of believers across the globe.
