“Be prepared – all dressed and ready – for your Lord’s return from the wedding feast. Then you will be ready to open the door and let Him in the moment he arrives and knocks. There will be great joy for those who are ready and waiting for His return… He may come at nine O ‘ clock at night – or even at midnight. But whenever he comes there will be joy for His servants who are ready!” (Luke 12: 35-38) (TLB).

Chapter 1: Introduction Preparing for the second coming of Jesus Christ 

As a young Christian many years ago, I visited a Christian brother in his apartment where I met him fast asleep. After waking him up he made an interesting statement that has remained in my heart till today and which I have decided to open this edition of our Bible Short Report Series with. He said, “How are you brother Sesan, before you woke me up I was hearing some loud noise in my sleep and I felt maybe the end has come and that rapture is about to happen”. He continued, “Brother Sesan, how I wish it was so. How great it would be to be caught up into the sky to meet our Lord Jesus Christ”.

The last part of his statement (the one underlined above) was the part that had stood with me till this day. This was a young Christian brother who was so sure in his heart that if the end comes that very hour, he would be a rapture candidate. Considering the circumstances at that period when I  visited him, the statement was from a genuine heart. He just woke up from his sleep and sincerely poured out his earnest expectation!

How many Christians can sincerely and honestly pray for rapture to happen immediately? Can you sincerely make this statement and wished Jesus comes back at this very hour as you read this book? The statement of this brother showed he was prepared to welcome the rapture event. Are you prepared or are you preparing for Jesus’ second coming?

This Bible Short Reports, by God’s grace, will be showing you how to prepare for His second coming. I want to give the Holy Spirit all the glory for this work.

Chapter 2: How Responsible Are These People?

A lady Who Failed to Prepare for Her Wedding Day!

Yes, the wedding date was agreed upon by this lady, her fiancé and their parents. However, this lady never bothered about this fixed date, she played away until a day before the fixed date. She ignored warnings from friends, her fiancé and her parents. The result of this irresponsibility was that many problems were not fixed before the day; she had an uneventful wedding celebration.

A New Father Whose New Born Baby Caught Him Unaware!

Answering questions from hospital workers who were surprised this new father never made any preparation for his new baby’s arrival, the man replied, “I must confess, the birth of this baby today caught me unaware!” His wife conceived in the first month and up to the ninth month, he was not expecting his baby! I am sure you will agree with me that the attitude demonstrated by these individuals in the stories above were sheer irresponsibility. They failed to prepare for events they knew would happen!

How Christians have displayed this same attitude towards the event of rapture and the second coming of Jesus! Though we don’t have any idea when or the day these events will take place but we know, from God’s Word and happenings around our world today that they will surely happen. Yet, lots of Christians have paid lips service to these events. They have, just like the stories above, failed to prepare for events they knew would happen!

Chapter 3: Why Must We Start Preparing for the second coming of Jesus Christ?

The following are the reasons why we must begin to prepare earnestly for the second coming of Jesus Christ.

1. Jesus advised, “Be prepared – all dressed and ready – for your Lord’s return from the wedding feast. Then you will be ready to open the door and let Him in the moment he arrives and knocks. There will be great joy for those who are ready and waiting for His return… He may come at nine O ‘ clock at night – or even at midnight. But whenever he comes there will be joy for His servants who are ready!” (Luke 12: 35-38) (TLB).

We must start preparation because Jesus’ statement above advised that we should. The New King James Version uses the keywords; watching and waiting. That is, “Blessed are those servants whom the Master, when He comes, will find watching” (Luke 12: 37). Also, “Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning, and you yourself be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding…” (verse 35 -36)

The keywords watching and waiting signify preparation. The person who is watching and waiting is constantly getting himself or herself prepared for the arrival of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I hope you will embrace this advice from Jesus Christ.

2. Another reason why we must begin to prepare and expect the second coming of Jesus is because it is a key factor for us to be rapture candidate. Just like preparation is necessary to any successful execution of a project, it is also relevant to our quest to reign with Christ when He comes back. He who fails to prepare, prepares to fail! If you don’t want the rapture event to catch you unaware, you must start preparing immediately.
3. Preparation also ensures we escape the events of the great tribulation as described in the book of Revelation. We will also escape eternal damnation as described in Revelation 20:15. Jesus, in Luke 12: 47, illustrated all these in His story this way, “And that servant who knew his master’s will and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes!”
4. Another interesting reason why we must start preparing is because no one else has the faintest idea of when rapture will happen or when Jesus will come back.  Jesus illustrated this mystery in our book text which I also quoted earlier, “… He may come at nine O ‘ clock at night – or even at midnight. But whenever he comes there will be joy for His servants who are ready”. He also showed this in Luke 12: 45-46, “But If that servant says in his heart, my master is delaying in his coming and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk, the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware…”.

I believe the issue concerning the date of Jesus’ second coming is the most closely guided secret of the whole bible. Jesus shared this when He told His disciples in Acts 1:7 that, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the father has put in His own authority”. The writer of the book of Revelation also did not understand and never gave a hint in his writings on the exact time of His second coming (Revelation 22:10-11). The mystery around the stories around Jesus’ second coming should, in my own opinion, help us to embrace the need to prepare for His second coming.

5. Furthermore, happenings around the world today shows we are at the end times as prophetically described by Jesus Christ in Matthew 24:4-51 when His disciples asked Him, “When will this happen?… what events will signal your return, and the end of the world?” (TLB). Happenings today show that we’re nearing the end of the world when Jesus will come back. There is therefore the need for Christians to become alert and start preparing for His second coming.
6. Another interesting reason is going to be taken from what Jesus said in Matthew 24: 11-12 (MSG), “In the confusion, lying preachers will come forward and deceive a lot of people. For many others, the overwhelming spread of evil will do them in – nothing left of their love but a mound of ashes…”. This prophecy is already happening as the devil and his cohorts have increased their activities on this earth to lure people into sin in other to make as many people as possible miss rapture. Their activities can be seen everywhere today in our neighborhoods, offices, church fellowships, and so on. The love of many is already growing cold according to this prophecy and they are fallen easily to the tricks of the devil and his agents. As Christian groups evangelize to win souls to God’s kingdom, they (the devil’s camp) are also evangelizing to win souls to the devil’s kingdom! They have become highly sophisticated in the way they carry out their activities to lure unsuspecting Christians into their camp. We must become more watchful and start preparing for Jesus’ return!

Chapter 4: 12 Ways to Prepare for Second Coming of Jesus Christ 

You are welcome to the final section of this report. I am sure I have been able to whet your appetite so far on why you need to start preparing for the second coming of Jesus Christ. This should help you to effectively grab the message from the remaining part of this report.

1. You Must Understand the Ministry of the Devil

Yes, the devil has a ministry, a mission and a major goal on this earth. This is scripturally revealed in John 10:10, “The thief’s (devil’s) purpose is to steal, kill and destroy”. It is a three-fold mission for the devil. I am starting with this for these good reasons: (i). If you can go on a study to fully grasp the major reason why the devil exist on this earth, then it will make it easier for you to embrace the message of preparation which this report is preaching and which is spread all over the bible. (ii).I believe some Christians now know the devil as an enemy but have been reluctant to carry out a study on his main mission on this earth. This report will not go into the full details of the devil’s mission on this earth, a future report will by God’s grace. However, I must let you know that the summary of the three-fold mission of the devil is to stop you and I from making heaven! He steals (joy, happiness), kills (spiritually and kills your confidence) in order to destroy (bring candidates into his abode in hell).  He won’t succeed over you and I in Jesus name.

You must go on more fact-finding mission about this deadly mission of the devil on this earth. Your knowledge and understanding will go a long way to motivate you to start preparing for Jesus’ return to the earth.

2. You Must Change Into God’s ‘Camp’

This applies to you if you have not, at any time; sincerely say the prayer of confession and repentance asking Jesus to become your personal Lord and Saviour. All human beings need to say this prayer, the bible says “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

You must belong to a “camp” on this earth; either that of God or the devil. You can’t be neutral! Those who chose to be neutral have become cheap causalities of the constant spiritual battles that is raging on the earth. Jesus disapproves this when He said, in Revelation 3:15 of the Laodecian church “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out My mouth”. 

Joshua asked the angel of God an important question in Joshua 5:13 “Are you for us or for us or for our adversaries?” His statement did not give an option of a neutral representation to the angel. It is either he is for them (God’s camp) or for their enemies (devil’s camp). The angel showed he had come for them, that is, he belongs to their camp. I pray you will also say the salvation prayer so that you can come and stay permanently in God’s “camp” if you are not resident there yet. Everyone born into this world is born into sin because all souls have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Therefore, at a point in time in the life of every individual, he or she must sincerely say the salvation prayer for a change into God’s ‘camp”. If you have not been enlisted into God’s ‘camp”, you will find it difficult to use this report. The topic of Jesus’ second coming will not make any meaning to you and you will be unable to prepare for an event that does not make sense to you!

If you want to say the salvation prayer now, you should say it below:

“Father in heaven, forgive my sinful past. I believe Jesus Christ died for my sins and His shed blood has wiped away my sins. I believe He is the Son of the Living God. I accept Him as my Lord and Saviour. I want Him to begin to rule in my life as from now on. I believe I am saved. Thank you God for hearing my prayer”.

Congratulations, Let us read from you to share your experience with us. You are a saved soul now. You should begin to trust God now as a caring father who is ready to give you His Spirit as a Guide to help you in your daily conduct as a Christian. Now you can go to the next part of this book.

3. 3. Conscious and Dedicated Relationship with The Spirit of God

“Most assuredly, I say to you he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; greater works than these he will do also, because I go to my Father…” (John 14: 12) (emphasis mine). This was Jesus’ classic introduction of the next phase of events to His disciples when He must have been killed on the cross, woken up from death and ascended to heaven. Naturally, the disciples felt very bad that Jesus, whom all their hopes of a better future lie predicting His own death and will be going back to the Father. They felt all their hopes will be dashed. However, Jesus told them about another who’s of equal quality and deity as Him who will be there for them just like He had been there for them. He said, “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another helper, that He may abide with you forever – the Spirit of truth’ whom the world cannot receive…” (John 14:15-17).

With these statements, Jesus introduced the exciting and magnificent ministry of the Spirit of God to His disciples.

The main message from Jesus’ teaching of who the Spirit of God is and what He’ll be coming to do is that the disciples should understand that they would not be able to do much or anything if they disregard the Lordship and leadership of the Spirit of God when His ministry begins. This was aptly stated again by Jesus after His resurrection, in Acts 1:8, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth”.

My dear reader, as it applies to these disciples then so it applies to you and I today. We can’t get much done as Christians if we neglect a conscious and dedicated relationship with the Spirit of God. Only Spirit -filled Christians can truly prepare for the second coming of Jesus Christ! It is not enough for you to be a born again Christian; you must seek and cherish a dedicated relationship with the Spirit of God.

The following tips will show you what you should do:

Ask Jesus to baptize you with His Spirit. John the Baptist revealed that Jesus baptizes with the Holy Ghost (Luke 3:16b). It comes with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Don’t stop this prayer until you have the right experience. Begin to talk to Him as if you are talking to someone beside you. Build a ‘talking relationship’ with Him. Do this regularly, don’t bother if it seems you are not hearing any response, keep saying, “Good morning Spirit of God every morning’. Ask Him some questions like: ‘Oh Spirit of God what Bible chapter do I need to study next week’. With time, you will understand how He talks back to you.

You will feel more of His presence around you. You should not forget to tell Him to teach you about Jesus Christ whenever you are about to study the bible. He loves to do this. Jesus says in John 16:13-14 “However, when He. The Spirit of truth has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is mine and declare it to you”

You should also not forget to start acting promptly on any instructions He gives you. As you become familiar with Him, He’ll begin to help you to prepare for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. You can ask Him to show you from the bible, information about Jesus’ second coming. He will also continually give you the strength and wisdom to cope and live victoriously in this devil-infested world. You can’t underestimate the many profits you get if you have a conscious and dedicated relationship with the Holy Spirit.

4. The Act of Checking

God spoke through Moses to the children of Israel, “Now it shall come to pass if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today…” (Deuteronomy 28:1) (emphasis mine). The underlined words show God’s children must give utmost attention to God’s commandments in order to obey them. This instruction is very much relevant to us today. As the devil and his cohorts are planting their evil everywhere in many forms, Christians must become careful observers of God’s commandments. Some evil-infested opportunities come as Godly opportunities, Christians must beware! You should take your time to screen every opportunity; it may be the devil’s trap to corrupt you and turn you into a hell’s candidate!

Even in church, you must screen every message you hear and also carefully check every instruction you receive. Don’t jump at opportunities or solutions to problems; they may be avenue for the devil to enter your abode. I have rejected opportunities that appear good and Godly on the surface on many occasions. I take my time before I jump into them. Sometimes, it takes me days before I take a decision! The devil and his cohorts are using every available means to win converts into their kingdom!

5. Find Your Spot

Everyone has come to this earth to perform a duty. I can’t imagine God planting people on the earth and expect them to wander about aimlessly without a specific thing to do. God can’t do that. He created and planted us here to carry specific functions which should further His plans for the earth. The Old Testament is filled with people who found their spots, got busy with their findings and did exploit on the earth receiving commendation from God. We also call this spot, purpose. An excellent way to prepare for Jesus’ second coming to the earth is for you to find out your purpose and get settled with work around it. A purpose-driven individual has found proven platform that can keep him or her continually prepared for the second coming of Jesus Christ. When God shows you your spot on the earth and you get busy with it, the devil will find it difficult distracting you. Jesus showed from the parable of talent in Matthew 25:29-30, how non-use of our God-given talent can adversely affect our consideration to reign with Him when He comes back. An idle mind is a devils workshop. Find your spot and get down to work!

6. Conscious Search for Information about His Second Coming

If there is an information or sermon that is so scarce to come by today, it is the one around Jesus’ second coming. Even within the church community, very few people talk about it. I strongly believe we need to increase the intensity at which we talk, discuss, teach and preach this important topic within the church circle.  There is so much time, energy, resources channeled towards the preaching and teaching of topics on prosperity, motivation, deliverance and the rest. Agreed, these topics are also very essential for our Christian growth and experience but I believe between 50 to 70 percent of our time and resources should go to the preaching and teaching of the topic on Jesus’ second coming .

The church can even begin to adopt this strategy where every sermon or teachings on other topics will be filled with mentions of the topic around Jesus’ second coming. I believe this is possible with the help of the Spirit of God. We have tried it with some editions of our Bible Short Reports series on other topics. Now concerning the issue of preparing for Jesus’ second coming , I want you to understand the relevance of exposing yourself to quality information on this topic. Most Christians, I believe lack quality or adequate information on this topic. There are relevant books, audio and video teachings on this topic. You can do a search for them and get good information on stories around the end time, rapture and His second coming. You should also not forget to search the bible with the help of the Spirit of God for this information. The messages of rapture, end time and second coming of Jesus Christ can be found throughout the length and breadth of the bible. You need the help of the Spirit of God to find them out. You must consciously search for this information on a regular basis or else you will leave it out entirely since it is not a common topic in the church circle today. The more quality information you have on this topic on a regular basis, the more you are preparing yourself for His second coming.  

7. Conscious Search For Information on Holiness

“Pursue peace with all people, and holiness without which no one will see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12: 14). The bible also says, “Be you holy as your Father in heaven is holy”. The topic of holiness just like the topic on Jesus’ second coming is also very scarce today. There are many Christian ministries who even teach their congregation on why holiness is not too relevant to live a successful Christian life!

The first bible passage above states it in clear terms, “Embrace holiness or else you will not see the Lord when He comes back!” (paraphrased). The second also said, “If you want to reign with a holy God when He comes back you must also be holy” (paraphrased). “Can two walk together unless they agreed” (Amos 3: 3). Will a man still have affection and stay with an unrepentant wife who has chosen to sleep around with other men? The answer is no! You can’t reign with God when He comes back if you don’t embrace a life of holiness.

You must consciously ensure you get yourself exposed to the teachings on this topic on a regular basis. This activity will help you to embrace holiness as a lifestyle. This way you are preparing for His second coming.

There are preachers who still preach this topic today with all sincerity; you need to search for their books, audio and videos if you are not a member of their congregation. I read from the books of such preachers (E.A Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Nigeria) almost on a monthly basis.

8. Tell people About It

Let me show you this secret that can help you to remain focused on God, holiness and continue preparation for Jesus’ second coming when you find yourself in a new office, neighborhood, group, school, classroom, association and so on. You should let all know about your Christians stand and what you believe about rapture and Jesus’ second coming. The bible says in Philippians 4:4-5 (MSG) “Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him! Make it clear as you can to all you meet that you are on their side, working with them and not against them. Help them see that the Master is about to arrive. He could show up any minute”. As this bible passage suggests, show them who you are right from the first day. You can have an inscription on your cloth that reads, “Jesus is coming back” or “Vote for Jesus and so on. You can also distribute Christians tracts or put these tracts on your table for everyone to see and pick up. This practice will prepare and encourage you to look for more practical ways to do more evangelism and also stand on the part of the Lord in this new place.

When you tell people about the gospel and Jesus’ second coming, you are preparing yourself for His second coming. You are setting a Godly standard of conduct for yourself and you, with God’s help, will not want to fall below that standard.

9. A Life of Prayer

Prayer gives you the opportunity to fellowship with the almighty God. If you do this on a regular basis, you are putting yourself in a position to experience the type of fellowship you will enjoy with Christ when He comes back. A prayerful life Is necessary for all Christians. There is some information about God’s kingdom or His second coming that you will not receive if you are not prayerful. There are forces contending against these revelations from getting to you on the earth. If I have said information about His second coming and holiness are necessary to prepare you for His second coming and prayers opens the way for you to receive this information, then you need to take your prayer life very seriously.

Paul advised that we should pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonian 5:17). Jesus never toyed with prayer when He was here on earth. In Luke 6:12, He prayed all night and this was a regular occurrence in His ministry. He prayed from the first day to the last day.

10. Continuous and Healthy Fellowship With God and Fellow Christians

I strongly believe that one of the strongest activities that helped the healthy growth of believers and faster spread of the gospel in the book of Acts of Apostles was their togetherness and strong fellowship structure. The bible reveals this in many places. In Acts 2:42, “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrines and fellowship”. In chapter 2:46-47, we also read this: “So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart”.

They grew both as individuals and as a group at a time when they needed all the strength, power and wisdom to withstand the pressures against them from the camp of the devil. In essence, fellowship helped to toughen and prepare them for every challenge that came against them.

Paul advised us in Hebrews 10:25 not to forsake the fellowship of others. At gatherings of saints where the Word of God is taught in truth, we receive information that can go a long way to strengthen and toughen us. We are preparing adequately for His second coming if we allow ourselves to enjoy constant fellowship with fellow Christians. Jesus said, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in their midst” (Matthew 18:20). We have a great opportunity to put ourselves under the tutelage and power of the Spirit of God if we fellowship with other Christians.

Let me also mention that this fellowship structure should be incorporated into our various homes. Every family should have times they come together to discuss God’s Word, worship God and pray onto Him. We can also use this opportunity to teach the children about stories around Jesus’ second coming.

Finally, under this section, every Christian who desires adequate preparation for Jesus’ second coming must cherish and practice constant personal fellowship with God. This is non-negotiable! If you fellowship with man but do neglect to fellowship with your Maker, then you are not ready to develop adequately as a Christian and also get the required mentoring and instruction that will help you to prepare for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In the presence of God there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). You should deliberately map out personal fellowship plans with God. This is a most-important requirement for your preparation for Jesus’ second coming!

11. 11. Are You Growing the Fruits?

Paul was inspired to write nine important fruits the Spirit of God can grow in Christians in their lifetime. I call these gifts ‘heavenly qualities’ that can potentially make you and I prepare adequately for Jesus’ second coming and also make us heaven-bound when Jesus comes back. I will be quoting Galatians 5:22-23 from two versions of the bible, the NKJV and MSG before I write more in this section: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law” NKJV

“But what happens when we God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in orchard…things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a wiliness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart and a conviction that that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely” (MSG)

The message translation as I have it above reads, “But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruits appear in an orchard”

This shows that these heavenly qualities or fruits are reactions to our decisions to live God’s way or walk in the Spirit. It is like the reaction a farmer receives from the seeds he plants in his farmyard or garden which gives out fruits after sometime. Paul also mentioned the reactions that come up when we decide not to live God’s way or walk in the Spirit earlier in verse 19-21 of the same chapter, “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outburst of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries and the like: of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God”.

You will notice that at the end of the bible passage above, he concluded by telling us that those who allow these “fruits” of the flesh or a life of Godless living will not inherit the kingdom of God. In other words, they will not be rapture candidates and will not reign with Jesus when He returns. If the “fruits” of the flesh will keep you away from heaven, the fruits of the Spirit will keep you heaven-bound.

You can begin to give yourself adequate preparation for Jesus’ second coming if you ensure you constantly do a check on yourself to pray against every “fruits” or lust of the flesh you notice yourself manifesting. A regular and constant check is necessary just like I wrote earlier in this report. When you find anything, make efforts to pray against it using the right Word of God for the situation.

Finally, you can also do a check to see any of the fruits of the Spirit that you are not manifesting and pray to God to help you to grow this fruit. Continuous and dogged walk in the Spirit and a life-full of Word study and obedience will grow these fruits in you over time as the Lord wills.

Christianity is a TRUST WALK! Trust is faith at the highest level. If you have prayed about something and you are yet to receive it, will you still stay with God and His Word? If you make up your mind to stay with God over His promises that you have not received, then you are who I call a ‘truster’. This end-time period require Christians who are TRUSTERS. Many ungodly circumstances are presently been pushed into our society today which are meant to frustrate Christians. Only ‘trusters’ can stand their ground in our world of today in order to continually be rapture candidates until Jesus comes back.

I want you to understand that we (Christians) are presently undergoing a faithfulness test. Our responses to issues are on the Bunsen burner. Will you respond to issues with reverence and due regard for God’s commandments or will you do otherwise? God showed in His long-awaited response to Job’s many troubles from chapter 38 to 41 why our response to issues is on the fire of test when after a long silence to the many issues around Jobs sickness and problems, He showed only interest in Job’s response to all that has happened to him and not the cause of his sufferings. He said in Job 40:2, “Shall the one who contends with the almighty correct Him? He who rebukes God, let Him answer it”. Job understood God’s stand and replied in verse 4: “I’m speechless, in awe-words fail me. I should never have opened my mouth! I’ve talked too much, way too much. I’m ready to shut up and listen” (MSG).

His response to the issues around his sufferings was all the while on the fire of test. God wanted to see a servant who will stay glued to Him despite his many troubles. Job stayed glued to God but his utterances fell short of God’s standard. He repented when he declared as quoted above, “I’m speechless, in awe-words fail me. I should never have opened my mouth! I’ve talked too much, way too much. I’m ready to shut up and listen”. ‘Trusters’ will be ready to endure all things to remain loyal to God and end up becoming rapture candidate.

A trust walk with God is another great way to prepare for Jesus’ second coming.

Chapter 5: There’s a ‘Party’ You Must Be Part Of

There’s a gathering and a ‘party’ everyone must strongly desire to be part of and this is the one the writer of the book of Luke described in Luke 12:37b quoting Jesus Christ, “Lucky the servants whom the Master finds on watch! He’ll put on an apron, sit them at the table, and serve them a meal, sharing his wedding feast with them…”.

It will surely be a great experience to be part of this glorious gathering. This is the reason why you must embrace the idea behind conscious preparation for Jesus’ second coming.

You should also understand that there is a crown or rewards to be given at this ‘party’. Will you start living a life that is worthy of these rewards or crowns now?

You must stop any irresponsible or arrogant attitude as displayed by the servants described in Luke 12:45, “But if the servant say in his heart, ‘My Master is delaying His coming’, and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk…”. Jesus may come at a time you did not expect, get yourself busy for the Lord and get ready daily for His second coming.

Chapter 6: The Final Charge

These scriptural passages will go a long way to help you in your preparation as I write the final words in this report.

Hebrews 12: 12-17

“Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed. Pursue peace with all people, and holiness without which no one will see the Lord. Looking carefully lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; lest there be no fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. For you know that afterwards, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently”

Jude 1:14-15

“Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him”

The Ultimate Decision
