Studies on the Book of Malachi
Studies on the Book of Malachi
The Book of Malachi is the last book in the Bible. It is listed as the twelfth book of the Minor Prophets. In the Hebrew Bible, the book of Malachi is classified among the Latter Prophets.

Because the book of Malachi is the last book of the Bible, most people who read the Bible never reach the end of the Old Testament because, when reading the Bible, most people stop reading when they come to the genealogies in the Book of Chronicles.
Most people’s knowledge of Malachi comes from his statements about tithing and divorce. However, the book of Malachi emphasizes a need for the kind of religion that affects all of life. Malachi says that God is looking for people who walk with him “in peace and uprightness” (Malachi 2:6).
The whole emphasis of Malachi’s message was about the people’s violation of their religious and moral obligations to God and to each other. In their dialogue with Malachi, the people became more and more defiant against God. Finally, the Lord said to the people: “You have said terrible things about me.”
I have not written much about Malachi. The studies listed below are designed to motivate readers to become more acquainted with Malachi and his message. At the same time, these studies are designed to challenge readers of the Bible to read the Book of Malachi and learn anew the challenges Malachi posed to his audience.
