The Joy of Marriage - A Nighttime Prayer
Please Pray:
Lord Jesus, we pray for the institution of marriage both in our churches and in the wider society. Lord, we know that you created marriage to be enjoyed and you commanded wives to submit and husbands to love their wives as much as You love the church. Teach husbands and wives to love you first and then to love their spouses the way that you commanded. Lord, help anyone struggling in a difficult or failing marriage to be brave enough to seek help and support in order to improve their union. Help those who are single and searching to learn what you prescribed in your word concerning marriage and help them to be prepared while they wait. Help those who are waiting to have hope and confidence that you are able to provide for them and grant them the desires of their heart. Help those who are single to find safe people who they can be accountable to and who can offer godly support and advice. In Jesus Name, Amen.
