Luke 22 vs 3-6 3 Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. 4 And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them. 5 And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money. 6 And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.
- The Bible said Satan entered Judas Iscariot and subsequently betrayed Jesus.
- The only explanation we have from the Bible as to why Judas agreed to betray Jesus was that they agreed with him to give him money for the act of betrayal.
- If they had not promised Judas money maybe he would not have betrayed Jesus, so because of the love of money and what he thought he could do with the money, Judas agreed to betray his master.
- A lot of people are betraying their virtues, values, standards, policies, parents, offices, and nation just because of the love of money.
- So, you must be conscious of how the love of money can make you sin.
- Anytime you face the temptation of getting money, you need to check whether you are not sinning in the course of getting that money.
- At the end of the day, Judas did not end up spending the money.
