The World Needs the Heartbreak You Risk - A Nighttime Prayer

How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!

– Romans 10:14-15 (NLT)

Please Pray:

Dear Triune God,

As this day comes to an end, I pause to remember You are already at work in this world—redeeming, restoring, and reconciling. Thank You for inviting me into that work. I am in a bit of awe that You want to participate with me to redeem this world.

Your Word tells me, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!” I ask You to make my feet beautiful—not because I am perfect, but because I am willing to go. Give me the bravery to put my feet on the ground, to move beyond inspiration into application, and to say yes when You ask me to step into something I feel is risky.

I feel the heartbreak. Show me what my heartbreak is revealing.

Tomorrow, give my eyes to see where You are already working and ears to hear Your invitation to join You.

And when I am afraid of getting hurt, remind me that heartbreak is not necessarily a sign that I have chosen wrongly. Sometimes it is evidence that I have loved something worthy.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
