My cousin is LDS and I have a friend who is JW – they both believe in Jesus and that he died for our sins. Would they then be considered Christians even though they don't believe that Jesus is God? Thankful I happened across your blog/channel. I have been struggling with faith as you have described and its nice to know other people "get it" Thanks for all you do!!
I happened across this blog also and I'd like to help. I'm a former JW and I can tell you what you want to know. Is there any way to connect?

No, neither of those are Christians.
To be a Christian you need a valid baptism and to hold to the correct faith. Neither "churches" believe in the Trinity and so don't use the Trinitarian formula in their baptism ("I baptise you in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit") which makes it invalid.
They also have many unbiblical and ahistorical doctrines.

LDS are very Christian and they do say "I baptise you in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" except they say "holy Ghost". Jesus is a member of the God head. They believe in the God head, which are made up of 3 (aka Trinity) persons: God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost. It bothers me that there is misinformation out there about the LDS faith. But I hoped I cleared up some misconceptions. God Bless.

I ran across your videos on Youtube. One question.
What is your definition of legalism and what does a legalistic life look like? How does the legalist think in your view? That is. What makes his or her thinking legalistic?

if I were to go through the new testament, then the majority of Christians would be progressive in one way, shape or form. In fact, its hard to accuse someone of being progressive, since when there's literally thousands of denominations of "Christianity" out there. When Jesus says "remove the log from your own eye before you remove the speck of your brothers", one cannot accuse another of progressiveness, unless one can see their own progressiveness in their own hearts. However, since everyone has become their own biblical interpreter, then how can one even possibly see their own blindness, since they are bias towards their own biblical interpretations. What one calls "personal interpretation", another calls heresy. OH, what a web we weave…..
