When is Sabbath day: Saturday or Sunday?

Matthew 12 vs. 8 – For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

1. In the ancient times, the Sabbath day is the seventh day of the week, which arguably falls on Saturday now.
2. In modern times, Sunday the first day of the week is taken as the day of worship because is the most convenient work free day.
3. Jesus describes Himself as the Lord of the Sabbath which implies He cannot be tied to any legalistic righteousness.
4. Everyday is a day of worship and Jesus has given us a rest from observing Sabbath days.
