Why Hanok Left Life As A Fisherman To Do God’s Work

Hanok is from the village of Vonkuru, India, and he has accepted Jesus into his life. He was born into a fisherman family, and was by birth a fisherman. His family and ancestors were all Hindu and did not know about Jesus.

Hanok got married at the age of 19. After getting married he fell sick and he was bedridden for years. He did not do any fishing work and he was workless. His wife left him and went away. He has no children.

One day I visited his tribal village and an elderly woman asked me to pray for his sickness. Then I prayed for his health and shared the Holy Gospel with him. He got faith and started praying for healing.

I shared the Holy Gospel with him and told him how Jesus healed the blind and those with sickness.

After a few days, I went to his hut again and visited him and prayed over him. He got up and he got strength to walk and move little by little. I shared the Holy Gospel with him and told him how Jesus healed the blind and those with sickness. Then he got full faith in Jesus and started praying daily for healing.

So he got healed in Christ Jesus. He accepted Jesus into his life and he left fishing and started doing God’s work among the tribal villages. He says,

It is Jesus who healed me from severe sickness. I thought that I would die on my bed. But my faith and prayers Jesus heard and he healed me. I am so thankful to Jesus.

Your husband wants nothing more than to succeed, but he probably struggles with issues he’s afraid to admit, even to himself. He may feel insecure about being a dad, especially if he didn’t have the benefit of a good role model. Or maybe he feels more like an understudy because he’s “only” a stepdad.
