Testimony: “I AM the Lord that healeth thee” - Raising Zion

One Sunday, during the time for testimony at a church, a husband stood up requesting for the church to pray for his wife. His wife had a cancerous issue in the abdominal area and required immediate surgery.

Post the meeting they met the Pastor and asked him what to do. The church preached and (all those who believed) practiced Divine Healing, trusting God alone for healing. Being new, born again believers, in their innocence asked if they too would have to stand for Divine Healing or could go to a doctor. The Pastor left the decision to them as it was a matter of personal faith. They made a decision to trust God for the healing. The Pastor requested them to get a check-up at least.

Two Sundays later, the husband stood up to testify. Smiling away he held two X-Rays of the issue – a before, and after, for the church to see. His wife was completely healed.

What happened? They went for the check up as Pastor advised. The wife needed to have surgery or she would die within months of a cancer. The couple decided to seek the Lord for healing. Couple of weeks in prayer, and the Lord healed her completely. The checkup revealed no issues at all. The doctors were stumped!

God spoke to them, “I am the lord that heals.” He performed what was promised in their lives as they waited on Him.

“And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.” Exodus‬ ‭15:26‬

Jesus healed all manner of sickness and disease. The couple believed when they prayed and the Lord honoured their faith.

Soon after, the couple left for a job to another continent as the Lord led them. Another miracle!

Sehnsucht in the Blue Ridge Mountains — Nicole O'Meara

Sehnsucht is hard to put into words, as can be seen in my painfully limited ability to describe what I felt at a vista in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Some call it joy. Some called it wistful longing for something you can’t explain. It has been called melancholy and nostalgia. It is all of that, and mo
