Healing is a Promise

“And ye shall serve Jehovah your God, and he will bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.” (Exodus 23:25)

In Exodus, Moses spoke to the people concerning the laws and promises of God. Moses reminds them that once they served God that he would bless their provision. He would bless their food and water supply which was important to them for sustenance.

Healing is a promise in the word of God and it is never His will or plan for us to be sick. Why do people become sick then and die? I don’t have all the answers but I know that God does not want illness for his people. There are many scriptures in the bible which speaks to health and well-being. Understanding what God’s word says and believing in his promises helps us to stay healthy.

The very idea or concept that God wants to punish us by making us ill is an open door to illness. The mind is a very powerful weapon and what we think in our minds often determines what happens to us. So let us keep constantly in our minds what the word says and meditate on God’s promises concerning our health and wellbeing.

“And the Lord will take away from you all sickness, and none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which you knew, will he inflict on you, but he will lay them on all who hate you.” (Deuteronomy 7:15)

I am a trained Social Worker who currently provides professional leadership on a programme to support Social Work students and Newly Qualified Social Workers entering the Social Work Profession.

Born and raised in Jamaica in a Christian family where my father is an ordained Pastor and Deacon who has served for over 50 years in the ministry. My father is also a trained musician and our family can be described as a musical family. I grew up in a small farming community in St. Peter’s, St. Andrew and my parents also have a small farm.

I credit my gift of writing to my father who I watched and listened to over the years as he wrote sermons, poems and other recitals in his capacity in ministry. English has always been an easy subject for me and over the years I have developed an increased interest in writing.

I am a Trainer, I sing and have a passion for worship, the spoken word and the free flow of the prophetic anointing. I am married to my best friend Andrew Christopher Young who is an advanced Musician and whose music you can find on YouTube and Facebook. I am a trained Coach and Mentor and I love experimenting with food so I love cooking. I enjoy trying cultural dishes from across the world and I view food as an entry into cultures and languages.
