People Series: Noah, the man who lived till the end - Raising Zion

noah

How to prepare for the coming of the Lord? Be like Noah.

We are in the last days; any time now, Jesus will appear to take His bride and the world will head into a One World Government. God prepared Noah too before the flood. He experienced the last days which impacted the world.

He lived in a time where wickedness and sin had grown out of proportion. God needed to refresh the earth. Noah faced great persecution as he built the ark. mocked and ridiculed for believing in God at a time when man was living in plenty. Even worse, building an ark when there was no sign of rain.

What can we learn from Noah’s character?

1. (Genesis 5:29) His name means Comforter. The Holy Spirit is the comforter, given to us to be a blessing to the broken hearted.

2. He found Grace in the eyes of God (Genesis 6:8). Be Humble (James 4:6). (1 Peter 5:5,6). Like Jesus, we need to be humble and find grace in the sight of God daily.

3. A Righteous man (Genesis 6:9) (7:1) God welcomed him into the ark.

4. Walked Perfect before God and man (Genesis 6:9) (Mark 37:37)

5. Walked with God. (Genesis 6:9) Do you have a close relationship with Jesus?

6. Hero of faith (Hebrews 11:7). He moved in the supernatural, no matter how it looked in the natural.

7. He moved with fear (Hebrews 11:7). He walked in the fear of the Lord, unlike the people of his times.

8. Received revelation of the flood. In a time when sin was abounding, he stayed diligent in hearing from the Lord.

9. Preacher of righteousness (2 Peter 2:5). Believers need to preach the righteousness of God – God, the loving judge.

10. Built an altar in thanks to God (Genesis 7:20,21). Let our lives be a living sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving to God.

Maranatha, Praise God and Amen
