Praising God Is A Pleasant Experience In A Believers Life - Raising Zion

a pleasant experience

We praise God because it is pleasant to praise God (Psalms 135:3). Praising God is enjoyable. Do you enjoy praising God? Did you know God delights in our happiness? (Psalms 35:27,28).

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: Yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”

Psalm‬ ‭35:27‬ ‭

Why is praising God a pleasant experience?

1. In the presence of God there is fullness of joy, and pleasures forevermore (Psalms 16:11). God dwells in our praises; meaning, when we praise God sincerely, He fills us with us joyful presence.

2. When we love someone, we love to hear them speak. It’s a delight to meditate on God’s word day and night (Psalms 1:2). It is the word of God that saves people, which in itself brings great joy. The sinner saved is joyful, the preacher is joyful, and so does heaven rejoice (Luke 15:10).

3. Praising God births the nature of God in us. The Spirit of God helps us to rejoice in Him, satisfying us, birthing in us heavenly natures (Galatians 5:22) (Psalms 63:4,5)

God created man to praise Him (1 Peter 2:9).

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”

1 Peter 2:9

We need to function according to the design we were created in. It’s common sense, isn’t it? A violin cannot be played like a drum; nor can a chicken bray like a donkey.

Keeping God first is the best decision in life. Praising Him, keeps Him ever present for His glory to work in and through us. Praising sets us free from anxiety and worry on a daily basis by praising God. Be ready, Jesus is coming soon.

Maranatha, Praise God and Amen!
