Life is full of Joy in the presence of God - Raising Zion

full of joy

Either we are happy, or we are not. Who is happy? How is one happy? Happiness reveals contentment. The word of God tells us that we are not only content but joyful people.

This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalms 118:24

The Psalmist approached every day joyfully and happily (gladness) because he believed God created the day for him.

Only when we believe God has given us this day can we look forward to the day joyfully.

  1. Praise & Prayer: Praise God for who He is. Prayers for all those who need it. A lifestyle of praying without ceasing and overcoming the evil of each day.
  2. Thanksgiving for all spiritual and material blessings.
  3. Faith that produces good works: Living in belief which actions love, grace and truth.

Why do faith-fueled believers wake up early morning to praise and thank God? They love God and know that without Him, they would not have seen a new day. Without Him, their faith lives are non-existent.

It is a good and delightful thing to give thanks to the Lord. To sing praises to Your name, O Most High. To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning And Your faithfulness by night. With an instrument of ten strings and with the harp. With a solemn sound on the lyre.

Psalms 92:1-3

The word of God is practical advice not only for earth but also for heaven. It has the power to keep us in a state of happiness like nothing in the world can.

In Christ, in His Word, we get a taste of what eternal life with God will be. Perfect bliss like we can never imagine today. Yet, we rejoice in hope daily because we are with Him.

Be of good cheer. Jesus has overcome it all. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen!
