Come boldly to the presence of your Heavenly Father - Raising Zion

come boldly

As children, there would always be one parent we couldn’t approach. Right? Mostly, dad. Mom, for some daughters. If you committed a mistake and then had to come to either of the strict ones, you will lack the boldness to draw near. It would be such a struggle!

But any child can come boldly to the Loving Heavenly Father.

“Let us, therefore, come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

Hebrews‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭

The Creator God, the awesome and glorious one, can be approached by all believers. What a privilege!

Why do we feel this way? What causes us to refrain from coming boldly to the throne of Grace?

Adam stayed away from God’s presence after he realised his sin. He lacked the boldness (in love) to come before God. Instead, when God called him in, he accused God boldly (in fear). God had not yet separated from him. His sin had separated him from the presence of God.

Believe in the Love of The Father to come boldly to His presence.

Esther required great boldness to come before the earthly king, her husband, to overturn a decree. She called on Israel to join her as she approached the King of kings boldly in time of need.

King Jehoshaphat was afraid of the large enemy against him. He knew he could come boldly before God with his problem. When he and his kingdom worshipped and praised God he won a great victory.

Sin corrupts our feelings. Sin separates us from God (Isaiah 59:2).

All the more important is to guard the heart.

To guard your heart, stay in the presence of the Father.

Come boldly. The Father is waiting. Come as you are, but do not leave as you were. Leave walking and leaping and praising God!

Maranatha, Praise God and Amen!
