A Prayer Life Will Change Your Life Forever - Raising Zion

portrait of a woman praying. prayer life.

Do you feel like your prayers do not get answered? What do you think is the hindrance to your prayer life?

God has already promised those who believe Him that He answers and delivers His children. Be it spiritual or physical needs. The material blessings follow depending on God’s will.

The feelings you may have that God isn’t listening or God has rejected you are all lies. He hears every prayer of those who obey His word.

Three necessary ingredients for every believer’s prayer life are;

  1. Believe that He is. (Hebrews 11:6)
  2. Pray and believe that you have already received what you asked for (Mark 11:24)
  3. Wait in the Lord till your request manifests (Isaiah 40:31)

No matter how you pray, if you do not practice the above word of God, you do not have a prayer life. Your spiritual life will suffer in the long run.

It is necessary to believe that when you are in the presence of God, HE IS PRESENT. When you go to pray, know who is before you. By faith, believe and pray. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things unseen.

Secondly, we believe that our prayers have been answered by faith. Faith is believing we have received it soon as we pray. Irrespective of whether you have received it literally yet or not. When we believe, seeking His will, it will manifest in time.

Thirdly, we wait for the actual fulfilment of our request in praise and thanksgiving. Our life needs to reflect the joy of waiting in the Lord in prayer. Doubt is the greatest enemy that will bring in other burdening natures. So, let not your faith waver as you wait.

May God enable us to trust in Him alone for all things. Go to Him in prayer, believing as children. Maranatha, praise God and amen!

    An Inspired Challenge for Wives This Father's Day - Today Can Be Different

    Consider asking your husband how you can pray for him each day. (If the father of your children doesn’t live with you, for whatever reason, remember to put him on your prayer list too.) Your husband wants nothing more than to succeed, but he probably struggles with issues he’s afraid to admit, even to himself. He may feel insecure about being a dad, especially if he didn’t have the benefit of a good role model. Or maybe he feels more like an understudy because he’s “only” a stepdad.
