Good day beautiful people

I hope that this post meets you and your family members well? It’s that time of the year again…My birthday and this year I happen to be turning THIRTY 😮😮😮. In this write up I desire to encourage every reader that life doesn’t stop once you hit 30! I’d also like to thank God because I know I have so much to be grateful for. I’ve noticed that it’s very easy to focus on what you don’t have, and extremely easy to forget about all the wonderful blessings which you do have (the wonderful people and things which God has placed around you).

Firstly I must thank God for the amazing support network He has placed around me. It is such a blessing to live in a home where there is harmony, my parent’s and sisters have been a bedrock of support for me and constantly cover me with prayers. I also have amazing friends who I can pray with and pray for!

Secondly drumroll please…..My book is finally out and available on the market! I am so thrilled to be able to say that I’ve accomplished this big milestone in my life with God’s help! I give Him ALL the honour, glory and praise. I couldn’t have done it without His inspiration and help. You can now find and purchase my book via Amazon U.K. After having discussions with the publishing house I was advised to charge for my books at a set price in order to cover printing costs, but was told that I can choose to donate my royalties if I so desire. But this will not stop me from doing the occasional giveaway (I cannot confirm how often this will take place at this point in time), but I will by God’s grace give out a few books for free.

So what’s the big deal about turning 30?

A common ideology that I hear a lot is ‘I must have got my life together at 30’ or ‘I must have achieved x,y, & z at 30’. E.g. one must have gone to university and gotten a degree, have a house, own their own car, be married and have a baby on the way etc. But the thing is no two lives are exactly the same and God has a specific plan for your life which is unique to you. Which is why it is very important not to compare yourself with others.

Well to be honest I have A LOT of things which I still desire to achieve in life which I haven’t completed yet, one of which I’d of loved to accomplish by now. But the truth is life shouldn’t stop once you hit 30. As long as your heart is still beating you have a purpose. God has a purpose for your life! Learn to trust His timings, and stop trying to force a timeline that is not for you.

Some biblical encouragement.

Jesus started His ministry at 30

^^^Luke 3:23 ~ Jesus was about thirty years old when he began his public ministry. Jesus was known as the son of Joseph. Joseph was the son of Heli.

David ascended the throne at 30

^^^ 2 Samuel 5:4 ~ David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years in all.

Joseph became prime minister at 30

^^^Genesis 41:46 ~ He was thirty years old when he began serving in the court of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. And when Joseph left Pharaoh’s presence, he inspected the entire land of Egypt.

But before Jesus, David and Joseph reached such pinnacle points in their lives they endured great hardships. (Jesus whole life is an amazing testament of the glory of God at work through His Son). In life you will go through storms, it’s not a maybe matter but a when matter, and an important thing to remember is that God will never forsake you. Don’t forget that even after success grief can come, but the joy of The Lord is your strength.

Psalm 90:10 ~ Seventy years are given to us! Some even live to eighty. But even the best years are filled with pain and trouble; soon they disappear, and we fly away.

Psalm 90:14 ~ “Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives.”

I guess I’m looking forward to stepping into the 30s club 😎, because it looks like life begins at 30 😂.

Well I hope you enjoyed today’s read, stay hopeful, stay encouraged and keep trusting God. And remember don’t focus on your lack instead keep your eyes fixed upon our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, for He is our Provider.

P.S. stay connected for future life updates so that we can continue to encourage one another in the faith.

Love from
