15 Interesting Bible Facts

I enjoy reading interesting facts on an assortment of topics. And I’m doing something a little different today. I did a Google search for interesting Bible facts. It came back with 340,000,000 results in (0.54 seconds). There are a lot of neat things to learn; let’s take a look at some I found hopping around the web. I hope you find these interesting finds too.

Interesting Bible Facts

— Did you know there is a do not fear verse for every day of the year? Yep, there are 365 fear, not verses.

— The Bible is the best-selling book of all time—it is estimated that 25 million copies are sold each year in the United States alone—but did you know that it’s also the most shoplifted?

— The Bible has more sold copies than any other book in history.

— Enoch and Elijah are the only people in the Bible who did not die a natural death.

— Over 100 million copies of the Bible are sold each year.

— There Was a Gap Between Old and New Testament Writing. It was about 400 years before the New Testament writings took place after the completion of the Old Testament. These years are known as the “silent years.”

— Everyone spoke the same language until the incident at the Tower of Babel.

— Genesis never says Adam and Eve ate an apple, only that they ate the fruit.

— Amen means “so be it.”

— God Himself buried Moses, and no one knows where — Deuteronomy34:5-6.

— The time period of the book of Genesis spans more time than all of the rest of the Bible combined.

— The word “testament” means “covenant” or “contract.”

John 3:16 shows the past, the present, and the future? For God so loved (past) the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes (present) in him shall not perish but have eternal life (future).

— The Bible has 3.573 promises.

— ‘Amen’ is the Last word of the Bible.
