You may celebrate with fancy dinners, cards, and candy.

Or, you may be the type that buys your man a new shirt or golf balls or a new fishing rod.

Whether you purchase a gift or not, you can show great honor to your man by telling him how much you appreciate him.

You can give him the gift of words this year for Valentine’s.

Kind words can be written in a love note or a Hallmark card. You can write little notes on index cards or sticky notes.

You can even take out your favorite lipstick and write him a sweet note on the bathroom mirror!

And, you can open your mouth and SAY some kind words to that man of yours as well.

What can you say (or write)?

Here’s an example:

“As a man, as a person, as a dad, as a husband, as you are – I respect and admire you. Even after all of these years, I still respect you.”

Here’s an example:

“I appreciate you and who you are as a man of integrity. I am so grateful for who you are. I am thankful that I am your wife/girlfriend.”

Here’s an example:

“I am thankful for all that you do for us – for working hard, for giving your best, and for providing for us as you do.”

You can add your own list of what you are thankful for!

Yes! They like to hear it too!

That’s it!

I’ve given you great ammunition for Valentine’s Day!

Now, plan your attack on that man with good words.

Speak kind words to him, say good words about him, and write some good words to him.

I think you’ll find that your man will LOVE these words of affirmation – especially coming from you.

And, what better time to speak kind words than at Valentine’s!

Proverbs 16:24 puts it this way,

“Kind words are like honey; they are easy to accept and good for your health.”
