A lesson from a satnav (maps)

    Good day beautiful people,

I pray that this post meets you and your family well?

I know you may be wondering how a blog post on navigation software could possibly be able to inspire a persons mind, but stay with me for a moment.

Most times I love to use my sat nav (apple maps to be precise) not because I don’t know my way home, but because I don’t want to get stuck in avoidable traffic. What spurred this practise on was one memorable evening where it took me 2 hours to drive 1 mile.

So, I am used to going a specific way home because more often than not that’s the way the satnav usually takes me. In other words, I tend to keep apple maps on in the background as I guess it makes me feel at ease. The issue is that there have been a few occasions where along the way home I’ve had a different road suggested for me to take to get to my destination quicker but, because I’m in autopilot mode I end up missing a turning or turning into an area with increased traffic.

A lesson I quickly learnt from a spiritual perspective is that at times one can read the Bible robotically and pray mechanically to the point where we drown out the Holy Spirit’s voice and check out before we allow God to speak to us. We’re so distracted by ‘things’ and end up being inattentive. We’re so used to following the same old routine and when subtle changes take place or when God desires for us to change a particular aspect of our lives we don’t pick up on it because we’re in constant autopilot mode.

Sometimes we need to slow down. Stop being in a hurry especially when it comes to our time with the Lord as He desires to build an intimate relationship with us. It’s so easy to give God lip service yet our hearts are so far away from Him because our minds are crowded with thoughts relating to life. I pray that we’ll all respond to God’s calling.

Psalm 27:8 ~ My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.”

Stay blessed and I hope you managed to learn a thing or two from today’s write up.

    God bless

    Love from

Isaiah 30:21~ Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”

Simply a young woman striving to encourage women of God, whilst trying to spread the gospel to a mass majority of ladies all over the world. I am an armature with regards to blogs, but with more time and by God’s grace I shall improve lol. I want every single female on earth to know how much she is loved by God (John 3:16)! Please feel free to contact me via email for encouragement, advise or prayer (I am not a qualified counsellor, or a pastor, but I believe as a young woman I will be able to relate with SOME of the things other women around the world are going through). <<< As of Feb 2019 I completed my Counselling level 3 diploma Praise God 💃🏾. I intend to help others not in my own strength, but with the help of the Holy Spirit.
