Affordable Travel & Shopping - Intercession For A Generation Blog

Anyone who knows me knows that I like to enjoy life and save money while doing so. Because of this love of mine, I’ve partnered with several affordable companies that I personally shop with to pass on savings to you―the readers. When you support these businesses I’ve partnered with through the link―you are supporting my blog.

Travel Savings:

Marriott Bonvoy: I absolutely love Marriott Bonvoy and here’s why: The customer service is excellent. I never have to worry about a room being dirty, and the cost to stay in Marriott Bonvoy is affordable. Not only do they have affordable high quality hotel rooms, but the Bonvoy program is a points program. The points can be used toward future free or deeply discounted hotel stays.  For my birthday in 2020—I stayed at one of their 5-star hotels for only $50 because the points covered the additional cost of the room. It was nice to walk into the suite with, “Hello Russelyn,” greeting me on the television screen. I am a moderate-income woman who works full-time. It’s nice to know that I don’t have to have a ton of money to experience such great service. When I travel staying at a Marriott Bonvoy member hotel—I know I’ll have the peace of mind of staying in a safe, clean, and secure hotel that meets my standard. It’s Free to Sign up for and join Marriott Bonvoy.

A convenient and affordable way to park near the airport. Park n Fly is a service offered in 59 U.S. cities. They provide parking for those heading to the airport. The way it works is you make your reservation online, show up to their parking lot, and ride their bus shuttle directly to your terminal at the airport.

When it’s time to return home, you will be picked up at the airport and taken directly back to your vehicle. In my experience, Park N Fly takes the stress off of traveling and trying to figure out where to park. They currently have a 50% off sale in select cities. Click the link to see if your city is included.

Google Flights: Google flights compares the most affordable flights across the internet for participating airlines. All you have to do is Google search, “flights.” Add the dates and cities of your travel and you can save on your airfare especially when you search for flights in advance. I’ve gotten round-trip flights for $96 dollars. They also have an option to shop hotels as well. I recommend sticking with one particular brand of hotel like Marriott who has over 6,500 hotels world-wide. This will give you an ample amount of high-quality hotels to choose from. Remember the benefit of sticking with one hotel brand is to earn the points so that you can get either free or deeply discounted hotel stays. For more ideas on how to save while traveling see, “How to enjoy your life while traveling on a budget.”

I use Fatcow for my hosting needs. I’ve been using them since May 2013. They have 24-hour technical support to make sure your site stays up at all times. Only through my special link can you receive a very low introductory discount.

Fatcow doesn’t only offer hosting, but they work directly with WordPress, Weebly, and other blogging software. I prefer WordPress however. WordPress helps with SEO for blogs. That means getting more visitors to your site. Contact Fatcow to get started.

Fiverr is an extremely useful website for entrepreneurs. It has independent contractors who will provide necessary work for whatever your business is from SEO, to video editing, website building, book marketing, PR, social media growth and much much more. These are just a few of the specialists I’ve worked with on their website. I even hired a V.A. who assists me with my newsletter each month for a very low cost. Not only do they provide the independent contractors to assist you with your business at an affordable price; they provide education such as with the free e-book you’ll receive when clicking the graphic adjacent to this paragraph.

Creating an online course is a great way to monetize your brand. Teachable is one of the most affordable and professional platforms out there for not only teaching but coaching. Their program not only offers on demand courses, but coaching as well. The coaching integrates with Calendly or your Zoom link can be posted on the registration confirmation page for all attendees to easily log on to your coaching session from Teachable.

Consider taking their free course, “How Anyone Can Create an Online Course That Sells.” Finally, if you offer coaching, you can use Teachable to build your brand by offering a free webinar to potential coaching clients where they can see the value you offer and consider booking with you for coaching. You’ll receive the emails of your leads when they sign up. These lead emails can be used to inform new leads about your future offers.

Make Money Through Affiliate Marketing:

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make passive income. Passive income is income that you make in your sleep. You do this by simply adding affiliate links into your articles. Affiliate links are links to products or services that you’d personally recommend because you’ve tried it before and you love it. When the products or services that you recommend begin to sale through your affiliate link; you get paid a percentage. If your SEO is good; you can consistently make income from one blog post written several years ago.

My blogging mentor does this and makes over $50,000/monthly in affiliate marketing alone. I’m definitely not there yet as I am just starting out, but I believe this can be a great way to fund your blog and make some extra income while using your talent of writing. Check out my mentor’s free e-book. She also offers a course that teaches you everything you need to know about affiliate marketing including not overwhelming your audience with seeming sales pitches, but helping them find things that actually want to purchase.
