The reality is that I hardly register this date today. Unlike when the divorce was still fresh, it does not hit me with the sadness punch that it once did. It is simply another day.

In some ways, I am such a different person than the young man that married my Cheater on that day nineteen years ago!

I am less naïve about things.

Sadly, I am painfully aware that some people scheme and choose evil over doing the right thing. You do not get divorced from a Cheater and not get to exposed to this sad reality about our broken world.

Today, I want to encourage those in the early stages of divorce. It is okay to feel sad on your anniversary. That just means your marriage mattered to you and that’s a good thing.

Also, the anniversaries DO get easier in time as we heal. At least, that has been my experience.
