Anointed to Lead - A Nighttime Prayer

Please Pray:

Dear Lord Jesus, we thank You that you love us, that You chose us as Your children and created us to do great things on this earth. Help us to see ourselves the way You see us and help us not to assess our value based on the world standards. Help us to remember how You chose Gideon at a time when he saw himself as insignificant. You also chose David despite his idea that he was from the weakest tribe and his family of no significance. God you chose to use David although his family did not see a king in him, yet You chose him to be king. Help us to remember that our identity can only be found in You and remind us that it is not our financial standing, our academic qualifications, or our titles and positions that determine our value in You. Help us to remember that You chose to use the weak things and the insignificant things to bring You glory. And so as we live for You, help us to develop my identity which is grounded in You. Lord, we thank you that You have made us priests and you call us righteous and royal heirs salvation. As Your children help us to know that we are incredibly valuable, wonderfully complex, and fearfully and marvellously made in Your image. Thank you for Your love and how You care for us.
