Are there altars, mantles and grace? This was the theme of a viral social media post some weeks ago sparked off by one of the most popular pentecost Pastors in Africa.
He clearly showed in his post that believers should ignore altars, mantles and grace and only fox their eyes on Jesus Christ. Well, this looks like a good and Godly advice but a good look at it will show the dangers it can bring along especially to young Christians.

Area there altars, mantles and grace? What I know
The pastor, in a short post on his social media page, asked Christians to ignore the altars, grace and the mantles on servants of God. He said if Christians do otherwise, they are getting into idolatry.
Is this completely true? Can Christians truly connect to God through the grace the same God puts upon His servants?
I want you to check my comment on the post below unedited. I believe you will be able to get some revelations and wisdom from my comment.
Altars, mantles and grace truly exist
David founded Zion but God took it up and today we talk about Mount Zion or the city of Zion.
There are spiritual coverings. There are spiritual families you must belong to.
You don’t walk alone as a Christian on this earth. The apostles never walked alone. It was a family. Paul did not undergo missionary journeys alone. In Romans 15, he asked for prayers from his family.
We should not present this as if because we are Christians we don’t need any other.
Is Jesus behind it
There are mantles there are altars and there is grace.
It depends on who is behind them. If Christ is there, it’s safe. Your duty is to be sure of the grace you are connected to.
We go to church not just to fellowship but to be under a grace and anointing. Israel had the pillar of fire and cloud and also the grace on the life of Moses.
God did not bypass that grace to help Israel. Why was Paul emphasizing to the people that though they may have many fathers but he is the one who fathered them. Was Paul practicing idolatry.
Was God pointing attention to himself. Paul also said I long to see you so that I can impart unto you spiritual values. And you want people not to covet such. The Bible says covet the best gifts.
Grave through human vessels
God always transfer spiritual values through human beings or vessels who has it.
Paul did that to Timothy.
He also said imitate me as I imitate Christ.
If we want to look at that with the context of this social media post we will say that’s idolatry.
Christians should not walk alone
Please Christians you can’t run the journey alone on this earth.
Our Lord and Savior is Jesus Christ but we should not be disconnected from others.
Even God said let us when it was time to make man.
I believe these teachings in this post should be balanced. There must be a balance so that we don’t confuse others especially young Christians.
Altars, mantles and grace: Serve Christ and honor His servants
Serve Christ but honor those who carry grace.. Learn from them and tap into the grace they carry. It doesn’t belong to them so they can’t determine the flow.
The flow went out of Jesus Christ to the woman with the issue of blood. Jesus said as He is so we are. We are joint heirs. He can decide to make men to be deposits of His grace.
We should not underestimate what God can do through man.
We are created in His image.
Some people will only connect to God when they see His grace manifest through a man.
Jesus came as a man so that we can see the true image of God.
How can you say you love God when you have not shown love to man.
We should not diminish the effect of the grace God puts upon man and in mantles and on altars.
If God is there then it’s God’s.
Testimonies from people connecting to Grace and mantles
What about those who have strong testimonies from such. Does that mean the devil did it.
Never allow yourself to be isolated on this earth as a Christian telling yourself that you believe in Jesus Christ and that’s all.
Apostles and disciples didn’t do that, why should you?
Even Paul had to come to Jerusalem or connected to Jerusalem through Barnabas at the early stages of his ministry.
He stayed with Peter and the disciples for some days.
Sir, please balance these teachings. I understand what you’re trying to pass across but please sir, let their be a balance Sir.
You have been a part of a spiritual family for many years. I have been blessed by your teachings over the years.
Thank you Sir. We love you dearly.
