DAY 189.png

Focus Chapters:

  • Psalms 98-100
  • Psalms 102
  • Psalms 104

Standout Verse(s):

Psalms 104:5, 8-9 NLT

You placed the world on its foundation so it would never be moved. Mountains rose and valleys sank to the levels you decreed. Then you set a firm boundary for the seas, so they would never again cover the earth.

Observation (s):

  1. God placed dthe world on foundations that would never be moved.

You placed the world on its foundation so it would never be moved. Mountains rose and valleys sank to the levels you decreed. Then you set a firm boundary for the seas, so they would never again cover the earth.

  2. God decreed the levels at which the mountains would rise and the valleys would sink.

You placed the world on its foundation so it would never be moved. Mountains rose and valleys sank to the levels you decreed. Then you set a firm boundary for the seas, so they would never again cover the earth.

  3. God established the boundaries for the sea, ensuring the world is never flooded.

You placed the world on its foundation so it would never be moved. Mountains rose and valleys sank to the levels you decreed. Then you set a firm boundary for the seas, so they would never again cover the earth.

Application:

God is All-powerful. Why then do we find it so hard to put our trust in the Lord who created our home, Earth, positioning the world in such a way that it will never fall off its foundation? Why is it so hard for us to rely on God, the Lord who caused the mountains and valleys to stretch to a point and no more, no matter the eons in which the earth has existed? Why is it so hard for us to be dependent on the Lord who set a firm boundary on the seas, ensuring that they never overflow His creation? If the Lord can do this, it is a guarantee that He can:

  1. Position our lives in such a way that our foundations, though shaken, by earthquakes and tremors, can never be moved. Naomi’s life was shaken when she lost her husband and sons but through these tremors, God gave her a faithful daughter and the world a Saviour.
  2. Cause the mountains and valleys, in our lives, to rise or sink to the levels that only He dictates. Job thought all was lost and that he had sunk to a point where he could go no further, yet God had already given Satan the order not to kill him.
  3. Set boundaries around us, His children, so that our seas can never overflow us. Israel was overwhelmed by the Egyptians, yet still God did not let them overflow them at the Red Sea.

Our All-Powerful God has got you. No sea will flood you. No mountains or valleys will surpass the levels He has set. And surely, while you will experience tremors, God decrees that your foundations will never be moved.

I am a dynamic young lady who loves the Lord and seek to have a joy that no one can take away. My all-time favourite thing to do is gaining discoveries by design from My Father during our time each day. Reading, learning and trying new things falls behind in a close second place. My dream is to use my God-given talents to positively impact as many people as possible. As a proud Wolmerian, with a zest for life, I adhere to the “Age Quod Agis” motto in that whatsoever I do, I always do it to the best of my ability.
