CHRISTIANITY IS NOT A COMPETITION

These days, everyone wants to be the best. Best student. Best servant. Best Christian. Best Preacher. Best Leader. They get caught up in it, pressing and pushing until they forget whom it was they were trying to please.

I wish you all would understand that in Christianity there is nothing like competition. You’re your own Christian. God is using everyone of us to arrive to the same point. Why hate people who are moving faster than you are? Don’t you realize God’s plans for us are different but it’d definitely lead us to the same point — HIM.

Just incase you’ve forgotten, we are all trying to please God. It’s the reason we do the things we do. Why hate someone because you feel the person is pleasing God in a better way? If anyone can have God, you can have Him too.
There’s no partiality, God has given everyone access to Him, but you stand by watching when others go into His presence then jealousy grows when you see them serving God in a better way.

Then, people who doesn’t know what it means to write to God start doing it for show.
It’s okay to get motivated when you see people serving God in a way you feel it’s cool, it’s okay to feel motivated when you see people get to a stage you want to get to, but please don’t hate them.
No! Please, don’t hate people in the process.

Don’t find solace in hatred. That stuff kills.

There are persons who just hate me without even really knowing me, simply because I’m that person they’re trying to be, but can’t be. So, they find consolation in the hatred they dish out to me.

It’s weird how people see me as a kind of competition even when we should be working together for the same goal – bringing people to God.

Don’t hate people who are serving God in a way that they enjoy it.

What you should do is also serve God in a way that you enjoy it.

Oh, yes! Loving and serving God is fun. Sweet, sweet fun. You’re loving a Father who loves and care for you.

You’re doing it the way you feel makes you and God happy, not the way people say you should. Is that even loving God? Do you even act like you’re in a relationship with God when you serve him the way humans want you to?

Oh, no. Please love God. I’m begging you to love God the way that you feel suits your heavenly Father. Don’t serve God, chained with the opinions and rules humans created.

Just love God, baby! Love God.

I once prayed, “God, don’t make me be in a competition with people I could learn from and don’t let people who could learn from me be in a competition with me.”

And God is helping me do that, so whenever I see people serving God in a way that thrills me, I don’t feel jealous. I believe that we’ve all got God. He’s everywhere. He’s for me, the same way he’s for You. But you just don’t know these things.

I don’t want to lose God in the process of being better than my next day neighbor. I can’t do any of this on my own. I can’t fight to have God and lose Him in the whole process. God’s Spirit is what helps me.. He what pushes me. He reminds me of where I’m running to, and why I don’t have to run like others or watch the way they run. If there’s anyone worth focusing on, He’s God.

I don’t have to make sure anyone is watching me run.
We’re not people pleasers.

Some of us don’t do things until people are watching us do it.

What if we stopped working so hard to study the
Bible and lived it instead? Life would be sweeter.

“The body of Christ will rise united when we use our strengths to hone rather than to attack one another. As the church submits to God’s washing
and correction, she will remember that swords are used on enemies, not friends.”

I hope the quoted verse above explains better, don’t forget that you’re loved by God.
Too much saucy, spicy love.
And, I really do love you too.
