Dark Places - A Nighttime Prayer

1x
And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. When He rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow.-- Luke 22:41-45 (NKJV)

Please Pray:

Heavenly Father, you have carried me through so many periods of my life that I would rather forget. I know I was impatient and not fun to be around. But you were there through all of these times, waiting patiently, and seeing me through in your special timing for me. I may not have liked it at the time but I am so thankful we did things your way rather than mine. My prayer is that you will strengthen and guide me to help someone else in a similar, demanding situation. Show me what to say, how to say it and when to say it. I thank you for your all-knowing power. I pray all these things in Jesus’ name, Amen.
