Dr. Ruckman denounces Robert Breaker in 2010 from Track 3 of 1, 2, 3 John, Jude

Robert Breaker said that Dr. Ruckman mistaken him for someone else in this, that is not so. Dr. Ruckman distinctly knew what Robert Breaker's doctrine and Dewey's doctrine was. Dr. Ruckman says that you don't have to know specifically about the blood atonement to be saved.

Now, I don't know how much worse those eyes are going to get, but you're going

to put up with it.

All right, 10:29.

"Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy," (watch

it) "who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of

the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified..."

That fellow was sanctified by the blood of Christ and turned it down.

And 30, 31, that fellow's an unsaved man. But he was sanctified, set apart by

the blood be shed for him.

Now, if you want to see how that thing works, come to 2 Corinthians, and 2

Corinthians 5. Notice how you can really get a real contradiction out of this if

you fool with it like the folks over in Milton, and they really fool with it.

But your salvation is, when Christ dies on the cross, technically speaking,

everybody should be saved right on the spot. And here's why.

2 Corinthians 5, verse, 2 Corinthians 5, verse 19: "To wit,", it's a legal term,

that means that is, this specifically, "To wit, that God was in Christ,

reconciling the world unto himself."

Well, everything's okay, isn't it? He was in Christ and reconciled the world

unto himself. Well, must be all right then, okay? No, it ain't!

Oh, now keep reading: "Not imputing their trespasses unto them." Then the sins

aren't charged to them. No unsaved man going to hell; it's already taken care

of. Christ died, reconciled to himself, and took all their sins and charged them

to Christ. So when they die, they don't have any sin on them, right?

No. No, that isn't right.

Now, that's what they're giving you over there in in Milton. They're saying,

"Well, all you have to do is believe that, and if you believe that, you're

saved; if you don't believe that, you're not saved." They play with soul-winning

out. You don't tell the fellow to get into Christ; you don't have him let Christ

come in his heart, or say, "Save me." Over in Milton they teach over that radio

station every five days a week that calling upon Christ doesn't save you unless

you believe this as it's worded. If you believe that as it's worded, you

wouldn't have to call on Christ. But you must be able to.

You say, why? Verse 20. Strange what you leave out sometimes when you're trying

to prove something.

"Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as the though God did beseech you by

us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled."

I thought you were! No, you weren't!

"I beseech you, I beg you." How do you do that? Well, you're to call you're to

receive his Son. You can't get the content of that verse unless you receive the

one who did it! The one who reconciled you is Christ. If you don't accept him,

you are not reconciled!

And boy, if they can't get that thing screwed up. You are saved when you The

touchstone of that Bible is when you receive Christ. That's it!

Now why why How many of you people have doubted your salvation at least once or

twice since you were saved? Let me see your hands.

Well, Brother Breaker, who graduated from this school and is trying to sell his

own Mexican Bible right now, is going all over the country saying, and I've got

it in print, that if you doubt your salvation, you've never really been saved. So

you know what they do? His kind of people, and they've got they've got a

missionary conference coming up here this week, I think, bringing all these

fellows around to teach this junk. And what they're telling you is, if you doubt

your salvation, you couldn't really have been saved.

Well, that's a crock!

They take the passage in Romans that says whosoever calleth on the name upon the

name of the Lord shall be saved. You know what I've heard him do? Old Dewey over

there? He goes back in the Old Testament and says to call upon the name of the

Lord is not a reference to you getting saved, because everybody in the Old

Testament when they called upon the name of the Lord, it was just to save them

from some some kind of trouble.

But boy, all of Romans 10 is on salvation! Nobody is praying about trouble. "If

thou shalt believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt

be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; with the

mouth", the mouth, the mouth, the mouth, not the mind, not the head, the mouth,

buddy! The mouth! "And with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For

whosoever shall call upon the name", mouth, buddy!, "call upon the name of the

Lord shall be saved."

Now what they're doing is saying this: you went down here, deedification Bible

school, maybe didn't understand it, and probably some of those aren't really

saved probably, they just didn't understand it. But when I get up here and

preach the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ to anybody, I'm preaching

the gospel: death, burial, resurrection. And I'm asking them to believe that

Christ died for their sins, was buried, and rose again the third day from the

dead. Now, if they hear that, and and want to express that belief, they come

down, and they kneel, and they ask God to save them.

Hugh Pyle said to me, "Do you believe this Bible is the word of God?" "Uh-huh."

"You believe you're a sinner?" "Uh-huh." "You believe God could save a sinner?"

"I guess he could." "Do you believe he could save you?" "I don't know. I guess

he could." "Would you ask him to save you?" "Sure." "Take my hand."

I take his hand. He said, "Now just in your own words ask Christ to save you."

Why? "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

So I did. And I didn't know I was saved. All I knew is I was going to hell and

didn't want to go to hell. And he told me if I believe on Christ and call upon

his name, he'd save me. So I did.

And he said, "Now you know you have eternal life, don't you?" I said, "No."

Well, you don't come out of the life I came out of in an hour or 15 minutes!

And he said, well, he said, showed it to me: "These things have I written unto

you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have

eternal life... Do you believe in the name of the Son of God?"

He didn't say, "Did you believe that God was in Christ, reconciling the world

unto himself?" He never mentioned it!

He said, "Do you believe on Christ?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Then don't you

know you have eternal life?" I said, "Well, I guess so." "Well," he said, "then

you know so. Do you know or don't you?" "No, I didn't know."

And I finally said I didn't know when I lied. I didn't know!

But you see, these boys, they think they're just too smart. They can tell who is

saved and who's not, this bunch of junkies. You know? Well, I couldn't tell I

was saved, but boy, that's when I got saved. I found out that later when I got

assurance.

Assurance of salvation, brother, is not salvation. Salvation can often come, and

you won't have assurance. Or you have assurance, and then some of you thought

you lost it, and lose assurance.

Fact, faith, feeling: that's salvation. It isn't You can't go by 2 Corinthians

alone, because there it's already done, and if you haven't accepted Christ, you

haven't done nothing.

Fact: here's the fact. The fact is, if you have trusted Christ as your Savior,

believing he died, was buried, and rose from the dead, you are saved and going

to heaven. And if you doubt the rest of your life, it won't do you any good;

you'll just get grey hairs for nothing, because you're going home to heaven.

That's all there is to it, whether you doubt it or not.

Faith! That's how you know you're saved: "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing

by the word of God." That's when you know you're saved, when you believe what he

said. If you don't believe what he said, you'll always have your doubts.

Feeling, that isn't even connected. That's the fruit of salvation. That isn't

the root; that's the fruit.

Brother Breaker, these boys got this idea: if you weren't saved like I was

saved... Well, all of them got saved when they were about eight or nine or ten

years old and didn't understand it. Then when they got living like the devil

when they were teenagers, they got under conviction out reading the Bible, and

then is when they thought they got saved. That's when they got assurance!

And what they try to do is make retreads out of you people. They go around the

country and try to talk everybody out of their salvation so they can say, "Well,

he was really saved under under my preaching." That thing back there in Sunday

school when we went forward to take the preacher's hand, that didn't count.

That's what they're doing.

I didn't mean to get preaching, but let me tell you, the touchstone The

touchstone of that Bible is not baptism; that can't always settle it. You might

have been saved before that, maybe you weren't. The touchstone is not not even

just what you just believe. The people of Pentecost were all saved, and none of

them knew anything about the imputed righteousness of Christ! Peter never

mentioned the blood in the whole chapter! He didn't mention Christ dying for

anybody's sins in Romans in Acts chapter 2. And they all got saved and got the

Holy Spirit, and didn't have any assurance, because nobody even talked Why, he

didn't talk about the blood atonement in Acts chapter 3. He said, "Your sins

will get blotted out when the Lord comes back." He didn't even know Peter didn't

know they were blotted out now! After he'd been preaching for two or three

years.

But they were saved right then when they when they did what? When they received

Christ! It's when you receive Christ you're saved. And when you receive Christ,

you receive him: "Come in." "I accept you." "I want you. I need you. Please help

me." You go to him, and you receive him. And when you receive him, you get the

whole luggage, baggage luggage, because he brings it with him. When you take

him, you take the imputed righteousness of God, and you've got God's

righteousness. It's when did you receive him? That's when.

Well, if you did when you were five or six years old, that's when you were

saved. So we teach them to believe on Christ and ask him to save them. Well,

maybe a hundred Maybe it's not a hundred percent, but boy, if if they if if if

they're sincere, and I believe most of them are, it'll work.

Well, that's the kind of mess you get into. You want to find out whether you're

saved, it's real simple. If you don't If you don't know you're saved, don't have

assurance, I can tell you how to get assurance. You might have been saved 30, 40

years ago, I don't know. If you thought you were saved then, maybe you were,

maybe... I wasn't there. But I can tell you how to know you're saved right now.

All you have to do is ask yourself this one question, Christian: what am I

trusting to keep me out of hell right now?

I take for granted you trusted him back then when you did it. I preach hell to

the kids. I tell them they're going to hell without Christ. Tell them they need

Christ, give invitation to receive Christ. If they're sincere, that's done. Ask

yourself right now, what am I trusting to keep me out of hell? And when when you

land on that right there, if you're trusting nothing but the blood of Christ to

save you, you are saved, whether you understood that or not.

That old Dewey Morris, that fellow there, Breaker, going around saying, "Well,

you got to have the blood in your confession of faith. If they don't pray for

the blood of Christ to save, and the blood that's been shed..." Philip led that

Ethiopian eunuch to the Lord, and the word "blood" isn't mentioned one time in

that conversion. You say he was reading Isaiah 53? You won't find the word

"blood" in Isaiah 53. It isn't there! And it's on the atonement.

[imitates blabbering gibberish]

That's what you're getting from those fellows! You get a bunch of dumb, stupid

people who can't read the Bible. I say that with charity, of course.

All right, back to 1 John. That's what comes from that fooling with that kind of

stuff there. All right, 1 John chapter 2, verse 2:

"He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the

sins of the whole world."

Then they are paid for. If you accept Christ as your Savior, you've got the

payment, and you've got the righteous one.

"And hereby we do know we know him..."

Now, this is assurance of salvation. This isn't the plan; this is how you can

know, how you can know you're saved. He says, "Hereby we do know that we know

him, if we keep his commandments." In plain words, if you obey the Lord, then

you've got a clear conscience about it, and if you don't, then sometime you'll

begin to doubt it. And he mentions that later.

Turn to 1 John 3, and I'll show you how he handles that. 1 John 3, verse 18:

he's telling you to do these works so you won't lose assurance. You're not doing

the works to stay saved; you're doing the works to stay in fellowship!

1 John 3:18: "My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue;

but in deed", there are the works, "and in truth. And hereby we know", here's how

you get assurance, "we know we are of the truth."

How do you know it? By works!

"And shall assure our hearts before him. For if our heart condemn us", you're

doing wrong, bad conscience, and begin to doubt your salvation, "God is greater

than our hearts, and knoweth all things."

He knew when you got saved. See that thing? He knows it if you don't know it!

"Beloved, if our heart condemn us not", you're living right, "then we have

confidence", then you know you're saved, "confidence toward God."

Now, what in the world could be clearer than that? Salvation is not assurance.

Assurance of salvation is assurance of something that's been done.

And why, my wife told me, she said she was raised in a premillennial J. Frank

Norris Baptist church over there, and said she got saved when she was about six

or seven years old. And she said she she doubted her salvation off and on until

she came to Brent. And then she was up around 30. And she said, "When I saw the

way some preachers lived," she said, "I thought maybe you could lose it." And

she said, "When I thought myself when I do something wrong, they'd say", mom and

dad would say now, "A Christian wouldn't do that."

See the little boy or girl? And you get your little boy or girl doubting their

salvation. And why, she was saved the whole time, but she never got assurance

till she got in here and in the Book!

And that's what happened Mac Johnson over there. That's at old Dewey Morris over

there, and L. R. Shelton, and Bob Ross, and let's see, Rolf Barnard, the

evangelist, and L. R. Shelton down in New Orleans. They try to talk everybody

out of their salvation by the way they live, or by the way they doubt, and claim

they know that they were really saved, and you don't!

By the by the Lord, brethren, there are only three there's only three people in

the world that know for sure that you're saved, and that's all will ever know

till you get home to glory. There's only three of them:

One of them is the Lord. And one of them is the devil. You're not going to fool

the devil about your salvation; he knows whether you're saved or not. And if

you're saved, he don't care, he's got no use for you at all if you're saved.

The Lord knows you're saved, the devil, and there's only one other person that

can know, and that's you. And you'll never know until you believe what he said.

And you can be saved and not know it, because you don't spend time in the Book.

Okay, I I I didn't intend to get in a sermon. I was going to teach this morning,

but kind of runs off with you sometimes. All right, let's take a break.
