Chick-fil-A uniquely closes on Sundays, allowing employees and operators time for church and family, distinguishing it from other fast-food chains.

Their company purpose reads: "To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us. To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A."

Some meetings and retreats in the company include prayers and other faith activities.  Chick-fil-A also encourages franchise holders to endorse their restaurants through church groups. For instance, a franchisee hosts a Bible study group every Tuesday in a Chick-fil-A restaurant, offering a complimentary breakfast to attendees.
