Freedom through Forgiveness - A Nighttime Prayer

"And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also Who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses." -- Mark 11:25 (ESV)

Please Pray:

Heavenly Father,

We come before you with humble hearts, remembering all the times we asked for Your forgiveness while we held bitterness and resentment against others in our hearts. Father, please highlight these sinful areas for us and open our eyes even more closely to our own weaknesses and sin. Please guide us through forgiveness of others in the mighty name of Jesus. Show us how to love like You, and please help us to grow in our desire to become more like You. We are as filthy rags before You, and through Jesus, you made a way for us to be redeemed. We need to be reminded again and again that we are all sinners on this earth, and that all of us need Your perfect love and forgiveness. Until we see You, our Heavenly Father in Your Kingdom, keep us safe and blessed in Your perfect care. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus, Amen.
