God is bigger than your fear of men

Jeremiah 32:17:

"Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you."

In this world, a lot of folks have a fear of men more than anything else. It is just the way things are. Your fellow humans can get under your skin. They can mess you up in so many ways. Take physical harm, for example. Some people out there do not think twice about throwing punches or using weapons to hurt others. It is downright scary.

And it is not just the physical stuff either; emotional pain can cut just as deep. People can tear you down with their words, spreading rumors, or turning their backs on you when you need them most. Then some take advantage of kindness, manipulating others for their own gain.

While animals can indeed get rough, it is often for survival or to establish dominance in their group. They do not hold grudges or plot revenge like humans do. It is more about instinct than malice. Sure, there are some exceptions, like when a predator hunts for sport rather than hunger, but overall, animals are not out to get each other in the same way humans sometimes are.

Because of your fear of men, you can oftentimes, hold yourself back.

It might make you hesitant to go out by yourself, always looking over your shoulder and second-guessing every step you take. You might prefer to stay indoors where you feel safe, avoiding crowded places or unfamiliar streets. Even simple tasks like going to the store or taking a walk can feel like daunting challenges when you are constantly on edge. It is like this fear has a grip on you, making you feel trapped in your own home.

Another thing is that it can mess with your relationships. When you are afraid of getting hurt by others, it is hard to let people in or trust them fully. You might find yourself pushing people away or keeping them at arm's length, afraid to open up and be vulnerable. This fear can make it tough to form deep connections with others, leaving you feeling lonely and isolated.

However, there is someone greater who can fight off your fear—God.

God is all-powerful, all-knowing, and everywhere at once. He is not limited like humans are. He has got the whole universe in His hands, and nothing is impossible for Him. So, when you are feeling overwhelmed or afraid, you can turn to God for help.

God can help you in so many ways. He can give you strength when you feel weak, comfort when you are hurting, and guidance when you are lost. He is always there for you, ready to listen to your prayers and offer you His love and support. And the best part is, He will never let you down. Unlike humans who can fail or disappoint you, God is steadfast and faithful. He is the rock you can always lean on, no matter what.

When you trust in God and rely on His power, you will find that your fears start to fade away. You will feel a sense of peace and security knowing that God is watching over you and taking care of you. And even when life throws you curveballs, you can have confidence knowing that God is in control and working everything out for your good.

So do not be afraid to reach out to God and ask for His help. He is always there, just waiting for you to call on Him.

I'm a Christian who sees the church as my second home. Not only were my parents the ones who raised me, but our church elders and members also played a significant role. However, despite attending church every Sunday, I still have some questions regarding my faith. As a writer, the articles I create serve as answers to the questions I've had and continue to have, and I hope they can serve a purpose for others who are searching for the same answers.
