God Is Perfectly Faithful

One of God’s many great  attributes is His faithfulness. God not only is faithful. He is perfectly faithful, all of the time. God will always do what He says and promises.

God Is Perfectly Faithful

God is so faithful that His promises are actually guarantees. When God says or promises something, you can count on it happening. Because of God’s perfect character and perfect faithfulness, everyone God promises is guaranteed to happen. God will always do or give what He promises. Always.

As self funded missionaries for over 15 years, we learned very quickly that we totally need to depend on God. Not just for finances, but for protection, strength, power to do His work… God has always done whatever He said or promised. And He has provided everything we ever needed, just as He promised He would.

There Are A Great Number of God’s Promises In The Bible

There are many of God’s promises in the Bible God’s word. How many of God’s promises are in the Bible ? The Bible Gateway site says there are 5467 of God’s promises in the Bible. Another site says there are 3573 promises in the Bible. Another source states there are over 7000 of God’s promises in the Bible.

It is safe to say that there are thousands of wonderful promises that are found in God’s word the Bible. God’s promises are not necessarily only for God’s children. There are many promises in the Old Testament known as the Messianic promises or prophecies. These point to the coming Messiah or Savior Jesus Christ.

The vast majority of God’s promises are for God’s children, those who have a restored relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Here is some Biblical information on God’s promises in the Bible, and a list of many of the promises:

God’s Promises Are Ours To Claim Because Of Jesus

2 Corinthians 1:20 says “For as many as are the promises of God, in Him (Jesus) they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.”

Jesus paid the price for our sins and guilt and punishment on the cross. He also paid for the right and the privilege for us to have a restored personal relationship with God. Jesus also paid for all of God’s promises for us on the cross, and God fully intends to do and give what He promises. God’s promises are ours to claim by faith.

God Is Perfectly Faithful And  Always Does What He Says

When God announces or reveals what He is going to do, you can count on it happening. No matter how unlikely or impossible it may appear to be. Because of God’s perfect character and faithfulness, He will always do what He says or promises.

Isaiah 46:11 “What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do.”

Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it?”

Because of God’s perfect character and perfect faithfulness, God’s Promises are actually Guarantees.

Here are some of God’s promises, or guarantees, for God’s people. People who have a restored relationship with Him through His son Jesus Christ.
