Guardian angels hard at work - Divorce Minister

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.”

-Matthew 18:10, NIV

I was driving along a stretch of a highway today that I have traveled hundreds of times and was reminded of a particular winter trip.

It was during winter. The snow was very wet, and so, the road was particularly slick. I was in my early twenties when I was taking this trip.

So, I was rashly pushing my car to go faster on the slick highway than I should have.

As is predictable in these conditions, the wet snow grabbed my tires, my vehicle started to slide, and I lost control of the vehicle. It went spinning down the highway. Miraculously, I ended up on the side of the road without hitting anything. I drove out on my own, and this time at a much slower pace having learned my lesson.

I believe my guardian angels were working overtime on that one.

It is funny how going through adultery discovery and divorce can make one feel abandoned by God while God is clearly sending His angels to preserve us at the same time. I know this was true of me looking back on that time.

How about you?

Can you think of times where God seemed to intervene miraculously–maybe through His angels–to preserve you or give you exactly what you needed in that moment?
